It's not even about money anymore. Someone can ask me what I think of a band, and five minutes later I'll have listened to one of their songs. Twenty minutes later and I'll have their whole most recent album downloaded with certain P2P methods (not Kazaa). I don't see myself ever buying a CD again.
Soulseek, the P2P client, doesn't really have problems like that because of its more community-oriented nature. I have about 10 users that I download albums from who I know always have real mp3s ID3ed correctly at 192kbps.
Maybe it'd just be nice to bail this Jesus-figure who has suffered for all of our downloads? Sort of like, "Sorry it had to be you man. Here's $5." I mean, just being nice, really.
Ever heard of soulseek? www.slsk.org.. I regularly download entire albums at a bitrate of 192kbps from users at around 120 k/s. These are indie bands.. in fact, in soulseek, it's easier to find full albums of indie bands rather than mainstream stuff.
I'm about to graduate from a public high school. People just don't bully - well, maybe the occasional verbal abuse,.. or laughing behind their backs, but never has a geek been harmed. But I suppose most of the geeks at my school are actually fairly socially adept people..

I came away from Daredevil with the feeling I had just watched the made for TV take on Daredevil. It had no amount of quality to it.

Well, there's a difference between a massively multiplayer game and a multiplayer game... so, uhm, it's logical to use that adjective when you're talking about a massively multiplayer game (everquest, planetside, shadowbane) and a multiplayer game (unreal tournament 2003, counter strike).

Best laugh I've had in days. Definitely worth a look (you'll have to go looking through the news archives of March).
