No. Look at an Opera string: "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows XP) Opera 6.05 [en]"
If your log analyzer can't tell what browser that really is, get a new one.
it's great for all of us users, but for the company in the lead *cough*Nvidia*cough* it would suck.
Yeah, sure would. Some company like ATI might bring out a card that stomps anything that NVidia has *cough*Radeon 9700*cough*. All the drivers in the world couldn't make NVidia catch up to that with what they have out now.
Oh come on. I hate Microsoft as much as the next guy here, but even I'll admit that IE isn't even close to being touched right now. Even referrals from/., which has a reputation as being linux-biased, are >50% IE.
Wow, you're smart. How can I be like you? The early Mayans used a base 20 system; ancient Romans used a base 12 system. The Babylonian system was a positional base 60 system. How many seconds in a minute? How many minutes in an hour? So much for your decimal.
My conclusion: You're stupid, ignorant and not a geek.
Check out The Case for Mars, by Robert Zubrin (ISBN 0684835509, Amazon link). Makes a pretty convincing argument on why it might be easier to settle Mars than the moon, atmosphere being one of the reasons (easier to grow plants). I don't know enough to refute his arguments though, so I can't make much of a convincing case other than it sounded cool, and I'd rather go to Mars than the moon.:)
When my father visited me last time, he asked if he could use my computer to check his mail, bank etc. I had known he would, and had set up KDE to look a bit like Windows. I don't think he even noticed that he was running Linux. He certainly didn't mention it, and got all his work done in the same amount of time.
Besides, people had to learn to use Windows at some point. It's not like their interface is SO intuitive that people just sit down and know how to use it.
So do it anonymously. It's not like you have to put "Joe Blow from K-Mart writes:..." Just swing the ol' "Sources close to the company." You could get a decent guesstimate anyway.
Nothing's wrong with a keyboard. That's why it has one. But having worked in places where people can't type as well as they can write (and I assure you I wouldn't go with "most" for describing the alternate), I can see why people would like this. Some people write much better than they type. Some people want to just speak and have their words appear. I don't want to be a fanboy of a product that's not shipping yet, but it seems to me that those options would be the most appealing part to this, especially if they work out of the box.
That would be awesome to take into a big business meeting. Everyone's all serious and taking little notes and getting phone numbers, and you're drawing pictures of airplanes. "BRRROOOM!"
the current guesstimate is that sales will drop about 20% due to online copyright infringement.
Anybody who comes up with any kind of estimate is an idiot, and is obviously being "funded" by some interested party. CD sales went up when Napster was in its prime. What does that mean? Nothing. Maybe the fact that we're in a major recession and people don't have as much money to blow on stuff, or that the crap they're pushing for sale... naah, that couldn't be it. It must be those Music Pirates! Arrr!
At first Gates and Ballmer may take refuge in caves. Our military action is also designed to clear the way for sustained, comprehensive and relentless operations to drive them out and bring them to justice. For great justice!
I use Notepad quite a bit in Windows. It's fast to open, fast to save and close: a good temporary text holder (rather than 50 post-it notes on my monitor).
For me though, KNotes is one of my most-used Linux apps. Panel docking, no load/save hassles, multiple renameable notes, and a configurable colour scheme to match all my other pretty widgets. The only problems I have with it are the lack of alt-tab switching, and, umm... guess that's about it.
Depends on what you want. All of the SACDs I've seen have an extra track that's CD quality, and plays in your standard CD player. That'll be the biggest help for adoption - you can buy a bunch of these now, and when you upgrade your player, your collection is upgraded automatically at the same time.
Copying isn't a problem though - although you just get the CD quality track. I've already backed up a few, and it's fine for, say, your car if you don't want your discs ripped off. I don't really need 5.1 sound in my car anyway.
Yeah, but she's a retard. "I mean, who wants to sit and download Windows drivers on Christmas?" Nobody, you dope, that's why they give you a CD with the camera. Stick that in your drinkholder and you're good to go.

Why wouldn't you just install the one then? Who needs an OS when you've got Emacs?

Microsoft ruling sparks late rally
MS closed at 53 even.

Sounds non-consensual to me. You should sue them!

If you did your thesis on buffer overflows, you'd be halfway done already.
Ever consider that maybe he knows something you don't? Hmm?
I thought that was one point of view?
No, you can tell the difference. The Democrats are the ones only slightly right of center.

Outlook has some great ones. Here it is trying to eliminate itself.
Windows blorphs on a lot of stuff, actually. Sometimes their copying estimates are a bit off. (Fortunately, it didn't really take that long.)
Sometimes there's an error even when there isn't (or isn't when there is? Whatever)
It's ok though, all of these problems can be taken care of fairly easily with the New Microsoft Keyboard, at a store near you!

This one's better. (Stolen from Fark)

Phonemically, perhaps you're thinking of the Bettman Archives?

You know what's sad ? That clean bottled water is a product that even needs to be purchased in the first place. Anywhere.
Watching too much pr0n, more likely, with all this talk about teets.
