They created a planet rather quickly at the end of Titan AE. Planet Bob, wasn't it? =)
If it takes hundreds of years naturally, could modern technology (read: nonexistant future technology) speed the process up (just like medicine can help speed up the healing of a wound)?
What effect will this have on portable MP3 players (if any)? Will Apple update iTunes to use another format (maybe the Apple equivilent to WMA)? Will there be firmware update to the iPods?
My time machine is different, we call it a "shower." I step in for 5 minutes, get sprayed with some "time goo," and merge 30 minutes in the future. Really quite amazing!
While I see this as being a good idea, I often do things on my PDA while it is in the sync cradle. On top of that, I have two PDAs (Visor and iPaq) and only one free drive bay.:)
From apple.com: With no moving parts(1), the iPod's new touch-sensitive scroll wheel is less vulnerable to dust, dirt or sand and more durable. The touch-sensitive scroll wheel is designed to retains its crisp feel throughout the lifespan of your iPod. There's even a clicker that makes a tiny clicking sound when the scroll wheel is moving.
Hmm, with "no moving parts" at the beginning. "Tiny clicking sound when the scroll wheel is moving" at the end. *shrug*
Talk about a marketing coup! They'll get people to buy this movie at least twice, and some of them three times.
Where have you been? Lucas? Star Wars? Hello?:)
I have several copies of the Star Wars Trilogy (original widescreen, THX pan/scan and widescreen, SE widescreen, and the re-release widescreen). *sigh* Another set coming up with the DVD releases I imagine.
I enjoyed playing Halo on the X-Box, however, I find that using my thumb to look/aim was damn near impossible for me! It'll be good to see Halo come to the PC, then I can use my old trusty mouse and keyboard!
Check nemesis.startrek.com for the trailer. I'm so pumped about this movie (especially since it's a even numbered one). From what I've read, it could very well be the last one too. Although I wouldn't mind a DS9 movie (my favorite Star Trek series). Something involving the Dominion would be good (maybe bring the Dominion Wars books to the big screen). Hrm..
A week ago I called the Plano theater asking about advance tickets. The woman I spoke with said she wasn't even sure if they were going to have Star Wars. Excuse me? You want to lose money? Can anyone else confirm this crazy thing she told me, because I can't believe it.
Maybe they started building Voyager II after Voyager I, but finished Voyager II first and launched it first.

Exactly. Earth is the perfect enviroment for us (humans). It might kill our friends in the NGC 1365 galaxy who might strive in pressure much like that on Venus with similar atomosphere gases.
with a patent on a sideways swing? Force new films to cough up some cash for some kid in a movie swinging in a sideways manner without permission? Argh..
That's what I hate the most, people who pass Nintendo off as a "kiddie console." Look, just because there isn't cleavage and blood in every other cut sequence doesn't mean it is a "kiddie console." I prefer fun over graphics (nmm nethack), which might be the reason I *still* play old NES games (emulated, of course). That also brings up another point, replay value. I'm still playing old NES and SNES games, yet I haven't touched my Playstation games in over a year.
Although I'll never buy either console anytime soon, Subspace keeps me well entertained.;)
That just made my day. =)
1-Click Patent Sequel
First thing that popped in my head was "2-Click." Then I RTFA.

This == this when it comes to clicking. So what is the big deal? Not like you're typing it out.
=P
they're selling a Gameboy Advance that needs to be plugged into the wall and attached to a TV. Anyone wanna buy a bridge on the moon? =P
If that were true, this story (and all of the comments) wouldn't exsist. =P
The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest are on week mornings around 4:00am central time. As for the original Johnny Quest, I have no idea. =X
FLCL is great. I'd love to see more people exposed to it.

They sure do know how to ruin a good thing (by making people pay for something that was has been free since day one). Napster knows this.
I'm just dreading trying to explain to my parents and friends that they should ditch their beloved MP3s and switch to Ogg Vorbis. Ugh.. ^_^

Lord of the Rings will be the same way... *cry*

to mention their games tend to be kiddie games

Heh, a one button mouse on a *nix box? Makes the whole "emulate 3 buttons" very, very difficult. ;)
If you can't figure out how to survive this, then you deserve to get hit by it! You'll have 878 years on us!
