I'm about to turn 20. I think it's stupid for you not to trust your kids at all.
Teach your kids to be their own people and teach them what is right. That's what you can do. My parents did that for me, and I thank them. My friends tried to get me to do drugs and drink. I told them to go screw themselves (I was 17 or 18 at the time).
Honor Students/Gifted Musicians/Eagle Scouts isn't worth as much as you think. And because you watch their every move (and they probably know it) they're probably doing the things they don't want you to find out, OUT of your house. You should trust your kids. Because of the way my mom is, and she's trusting, and nice to people. My friends wouldn't even come over after drinking because they didn't want her to see them like that. They'd rather go to their own parents.
My friend's mom was like that. She wouldn't let him out at night, so he'd sneak out his window occasionally (because he was 17 or 18 and she made him be home by 10:30 or 11:00).
You really need to think about what you're doing. Kids need privacy. You should have guided them to do what's right, then you don't have to worry about them doing anything bad.
If you need an assistant I'm free. I'll hold your drink while you're driving. I could yell at people walking by for our amusement. Anything. I'll wear a costume if you'd like. You can pay me with bandwidth if you'd like. I can only work part-time on weekends.
I also turn off vibration, but that's just because I find it annoying. It doesn't hurt, but in an RPG you don't need the controller to vibrate when you cast a spell. The novelty of vibration has worn off, at least for me.
Why doesn't Novell try and buy Mandrake? With their financial problems it shouldn't be hard, and Mandrake is almost as recognizable in linux as suse, if not more.
I don't think so. I think microsoft is way too known to become cool. When you think about it, something usually becomes cool because it is a little different than the norm. It doesn't take that much effort to stay cool, but to become cool after all this time. That would be difficult. It'd be much easier for something less well known to become cool, ie- linux. ^_^
Just an example of other countries adapting. In Japan they have the first press version of a CD that sells first, and then a regular version. Dir en Grey just released a CD and the people with the first press version got access to a special part of their site. There was also a DVD included with a video preview (and other things too i'm sure). Then there is the regular CD. I heard that some people got stickers with them. I mean, just things like that would make people more interested in buying CDs.
On a sidenote: If you want legal music, and don't want to support the RIAA, then buy used CDs. eBay is a great place. There is also prolly a used CD store near everyone here.
Well, great. Florida (my state) has 2 senators supporting it. Does Florida's votes even count anymore though? I mean the stupid people can't even VOTE RIGHT. Oh well, I bet a hanging chad will make it look like they voted against it.
I've seen contra mentioned. If they Legend of Mana (PSX) has the same feature as the SNES game it's an adventure type game, but on the second controller you could press select and it would allow 2 players to join the game. None of my friends were ever interested in a story-line game, but it could be fun. Racing games are usually 2 player and quite fun. Is there something similar to mario kart on PS2? I'm not sure.
You could try learning japanese together, if you want to get an imported PS2 and some japanese games, that could prove to be interesting.
Final Fight for SNES was pretty cool. It was an arcade remake, I always found those types of fighting games with 2 people always better than playing solo.
Double Dragon is a NES name. Battletoads. similar game.
My friend and I had quite a good time passing the controller back and forth trying to get better scores on tony hawk for dreamcast.
Dragon Lair is an interactive movie of sorts (to the best of my knowledge) that could be fun.
however, I play mostly 1 player RPGs, I don't have a significant other that wants to game with me:x
ANYTHING that can get ME a date is a GOOD thing. Google, I think you need to start this right now, don't wait a second. This could be the greatest thing since SLICED BREAD.
Why not publish on the internet in the form of an eBook? He can do that himself practically. I'm sure that the tech community that would buy the book would find out about such a publication too. So he publishes the book, and the target audience gets the book. Win, win.

I think it's pretty obvious you're going to need a sidekick. I have my own costume, and will work for donuts.
...I am still single. I don't know if this can be direclty related to gaming or not. Does anyone else experience this side affect?

I know i don't have one... Going on 20 and never been kissed :x

Look for one in your area. You can usually get game sound tracks for $10 a piece (if it's not something EXTREMELY popular)

At the end of the article they let you submit one. I chose Kefka. he was just so awesome. By FAR my favorite villian. and the end battle, WOW.

There can I go to get the mailing addresses of senators? I'll definitely be writing a letter about this.

There are going to be a bunch of people yelling about microsoft getting bit by software patents.
There will be the people yelling that we shouldn't be for patents when they are against microsoft.
In the end we will come to the same resolution... Software patents, and microsoft... both bad.
IF you read the article, that happened in 1982
I'm working my way up to chess. I'm starting by becoming a tic tac toe master.

It is Darl McBride.
In other news, RIAA slogan has been changed to 'We're going to SUE YOU!' pfft... file sharing hippies
Does that mean they're going to start using Java?

why does microsoft always wait to fix security vunerablilities like this? It seems like if it's not affecting one million people they don't care.
Maybe it's because they don't want to fix vunerabilities that aren't being taken advantage of? Seems as though there are a lot of them.
Finally, a way to prove people are stealing my pencils!
eBay
Bet you can find any of the pieces on there. Let's see them try to stop every Tom, Dick, and Harry from selling their pieces.

Isn't that like the equivalent of 12 internets, with its speed?
