Gamespot - Is this game popular? If yes, demolish the score by at least 20% and make sure to have completely unrealistic expectations of the game.

I got news for you. It's your responsibility to keep track of your software licenses. There are inexpensive tools, hell, even just a standard policy on what to do with machines would go a long way.

    Blockquoting the article:

"The guys in engineering need a new PC, so they get one and we pass theirs on to somebody doing clerical work. Well, if you don't wipe the hard drive on that PC, that's a violation. Even if they can tell a piece of software isn't being used."

He got caught because of his sheer laziness and possibly his own ignorance. Making him into a martyr for open source only legitimises the belief that linux is free software (free as in beer) and, to some point, that only software "pirates" (sic) use it.

Must we glorify this man by giving him frontpage?

Why would a survey device with the job of simply recording data use KDE, or for that matter GNOME, or even X? Somehow I seriously doubt that KDE's crashing effects this thing in the slightest.

Then why are you using data submitted by computers loaded up with crap by ordinary joes to justify your position on windows stability. If I ran nothing more than a video capture application I'm sure I could get more uptime than 12 hours. Hell, even with all the gaming I do on my Windows XP box I still get uptimes of 1 week and upwards. My roommate runs a whole load of services on his XP box and he gets uptimes of 2 weeks and upwards.

As for video calls (3G's supposed killer app), I haven't seen any problems yet communicating internationally between 3G networks. For instance, you can make a video call between Australia and the UK and it works just fine (or at least Hutchinson/Orange says it does).
