    Wikipedia could pad every (page, image, or paragraph) with random junk so that traffic quantity analysis is useless. Also they could hesitate a random time between (page, image, or paragraph). I recon they do something like this now.

    Gimme a break. The NSA as I last saw it had a division of COMPUTER SECURITY. What happened? Last year Comey said we needed an "adult conversation" about encryption and national security.     I know of nothing on the horizon concerning anti gravity research so IMHO there is no real progress on a personal-fly-from-home. Noise, air disturbances, broken windows from flying objects, all this is what flying cars would be all about if they ever get built. Physics sometimes is a wet blanket.

    This talk of mountains of leaded glass seems like no problem, unless leaded glass leaches a lot. If nothing else it might be a "lead mine" if and when the price of lead goes up.

Think Crypto Wars here: FBI's Comey said that they were waiting till next year for an "adult conversation about encryption" after collecting data this year. Collecting data? How 'bout a data point like: Poor Security = Enormous Financial Consequences. Fast. Did Yahoo encrypt everything, every connection? Could encrypting everything have been part of a comprehensive security plan? *I* didn't have a Yahoo account ;-) but if I did I think I just might head to the County Courthouse for a $200 filing for the hassle of needing to switch to Google.

    The head of the FBI has stated that this year they "are gathering the data" for an "intelligent conversation" next year about "encryption". I think this type of story should be catalogued, indexed, made available for that conversation. Add to that the just revealed 500 Million account hack at Yahoo. Encrypted files would have made these vacuum cleaner jobs a bit harder ...cm
