The day Halo 2 lauched (in Quebec) there was a news article on it. They even had interviews with some Quebec developers working in the states on Halo 2. This was the first time I ever heard a video game make the news on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation).
Why did Microsoft's game make the news? Usually a game doesn't.
Could the new marketing be information dressed up as important news? The only oustanding thing about Halo 2 is the amount of cash they spent on marketing the game. Otherwise it's an ok game.
I see you don't take the threat seriously. Do you realize that CO2 "traps" heat inside the atmosphere? I dunno you seem to act like someone on the Titanic which was deemed unsinkable who would say "Well we have no proof that it will sink, it is an unsinkable vessel isn't it? So why hop on one of those emergency boats?"
If you need to so skeptic then why is the Kyoto bad? Wouldn't the quality of the air be enough for you to consider the kyoto protocol?
when my boss puts pressure on me it feels a lot like a math exam. When I have "free" time is when I actually do the best things for my company.
I wished I had safari but from what I saw.

The ECMAScript (Javascript) code used for this is pretty standard except for a few else{} to acomodate Internet Explorer (unfortunately you cannot do without).
I realize people want things to work in their favorite browser but shouldn't they check that their favorite browser follows standards before blaming Google?
Recently Bill Gates sent a letter out to all corporate customers telling them that interoperability should be in every firms thinking. I couldn't agree more. Despite agreeing in principle I believe that Microsoft's track record shows that they've established proprietary and undocumented file formats and protocols which do not play nice with others. Many GNU/Linux users feel that the biggest interoperability problem faced by Linux is with proprietary Microsoft protocols and file formats.
If Microsoft really had interoperability as it's prime objective shouldn't it share the file formats and protocols so that *everyone* could use them?
I had been using a a linux machine in DMZ on my home network for the last two years but World of Warcraft didn't run on Linux. I decided to install Windows on it to play my game. So I popped an old 40G hard drive and installed Windows while it was still connected to the network.
Funny thing the install took 3 and half hours instead of the 54 minutes it said it would install in. Upon bootup well... hahaha I'll let you guys what happened then...
I'm actually happy at the changes that Bush does. I know that he's doing them all to profit in some sick way. That administration is self-serving and uses fear, anger and ignorance to their favour.
Why am I happy? Because it takes drastic measures for the proles to wake up. Maybe in 2084 we'll see some positive change.
I find it disgraceful how in America there is such a contradiction. We're guys are so loud and clear about free speech yet we're the first to blast anyone who uses their right if it happens to bother someone in the process. If a group of people can be so frustrated that they want to publicly display their anger it should be allowed. If it slows other people down in a game, or stops traffic at an important intersection so much the better. They aren't killing anyone, just trying to bring attention to a problem that could, if resolved, help everyone.
I find this distasteful. Bill Gates probably has horrible hand writing but guess what? So do most people who type instead of handwrite. Heck I'm so used to my palm pilot as the only thing remotely ressembling hand writing that when I need to write using a real pen I laugh at myself making plenty of horrors.
This is really of bad taste guys. As much as I think Bill G. is Napoleonic and demented I don't put that basis on his handwriting.
Microsoft wants people with broken systems to feel bad about pirating. They also like the idea that making people with compromised systems look like software pirates themselves. Legitimate people who have security problems will feel so ashamed to have that virus that only diseased pirates have that they'll be ready to pay for any upgrade MS throws at them.
Now on the other hand this is good for OSS movement. People shouldn't use software unless they pay for it. With enough people out there saying that they cannot (and justly so ) afford Windows then we'll have more and more understanding of open formats, open standards and everyone will know who the bully really is.
asking others isn't being lazy. It's being smart. What do you always ask google when asking other could save you valuable time and get you started with a better understanding of things?
I'm in the same situation. I'm a developer and I use linux almost 100% of the time (only exception is when I want to play a game). I was very disapointed that there weren't any G5 powerbooks at Macworld and I think I'll hold on to my money until they do finally come out.
when I had to run around and do that kind of thing. I brought everything in a cardboard box, mouse, keyboard and extra long wires with adaptors.
The LCD screen was so small and light it was a pleasure to carry around (1024x768 native resolution). The long wires allowed me to sit comfortably wherever I was most comfortable.

And aside from a selected few who understand the whole of the story most of us eat it up as if it were divine mana.
I don't know why I loved that movie so much.

which is how he came to warn us about global warming in the first place?

pretty much what that article states is that the shroud of turin is no different than a grilled cheese or an oyster with the face of Jesus on it.

Now we see repercussions of your over-spending even with HP ink cartridges.

the difference between laptops using the Pentium M and Powerbooks is the size. In a smaller casing a few watts can make a huge difference.
