If we all were liable for bugs present we'd make sure to let everyone know it would take time. Engineers aren't told to build bridges in 10 days, from inception to coat of paint. Why should developers be hurried to do important code?

    so bear with me.

Since matter can pull on other matter, why would it be impossible for matter to start pushing back on other matter after a certain distance? Like say 2 items pull on one another through gravitation but a minute force from the same items does the inverse effect. Now think that this pushing force keeps its strength a bit more per distance than gravitation does. Seperate the two items far enough and they'd start pushing and accelerating in different directions.

They can't go on stiffling innovation on the web side of things and whenever they show off web technology it makes people realize more and more that they shouldn't be tied down to their OS.

  19. this is normal... in a sense good on How Chinese Evade Government's Web Controls · · Score: 5, Interesting
I had a Chinese friend tell me he found it normal that the Chinese government controlled the internet and information the way they do. His argument was that if you change the dynamics too quickly you can do more damage to a country's economy and people. To support his point he used Russia and Irak. He says the changes made in those countries were too drastic over too short a period of time. People need to be psychologically ready before accepting the challenge of self-rule. He also says that the Chinese governing body knows that the transition will happen (to democracy) but they are controlling every step (yes to some extent to benefit from the power) to ensure that the whole country doesn't fall into chaos.

I'm not sure I agreed with everything he said but it certainly made an interesting discussion.
