Heh, since you brought it up! I do have a totally wireless TV. I have a 13inch (colour with vcr built in model) that will run off a 12volt source. It was used on long trips in the car with small kids to keep them busy (not my kids, I don't have any). It's now in my kitchen. I even contemplated putting it in the bathroom, but I got to many funny looks when I brought that up.
Odd, I've seen this before someplace.

Wireless Monitors?

Why is having a wireless monitor so hard to fathom? I'm watching a wireless "monitor" now in fact. Its called my television. Seems to get channels fine from "thin" air. These images are transmitted by a remote "base station".... they even have a high resolution model available in some places. I think that we have the tech but its not being looked at correctly. Just my thoughts.
...expensive. Simple regular glass, a few dollars at most to replace when I...err someone drops it. This on the other hand will cost much more and require a large overhead initially to get working. Only the "good" bars will have these things, not the pits I frequent.
They probably wont drill into the ice. One idea is to launch a nuclear powered heat "drill". This would simply heat up and melt into the ice. Simple and nothing to break with no moving parts like drill bits. Trouble is what happens if it crahes into the moon instead of landing like it should...
Nothing like tossing little "Kipper" on the grill after a hard days work at the office. Grew him this morning I did! Just hate the way they scream when you take them out of the vat though...
"I have been able to bring many a dead CPU fans back from the dead simply by peeling the sticker off in the center and dropping a dab of oil in there. "
I do this all the time too. Works like a charm. Also helps to clean away any dust before you do this so that you dont get dust mixed with the oil. Using an Thin Electric Motor Oil is the best.
So, your telling me that a general manager created this? Riiiight. Most general managers can't even turn on a cell phone without being shown 2-3 times first. I bet some poor shlub from engineering created it first and the manager took all the credit.;)
Just a note: Try Opera 6.x , its rather good and I use it all the time now. I have never had it crash and all the pages I have ever gone to display correctly. I find it faster than IE at displaying pages too.
Now, for one time fees, like Opera, it's worth paying the $$$ to get rid of the ads. THOSE types of ads use screen space you can't get rid of, since it's integrated into the browser. For SlashDot type ads, they scroll right off the screen.
Now you've done it! By Monday we will be seeing persistant screen scrolling adds on/.! Ahrrrrg!;)
My thoughts exactly... does this not already happen with such games as Halflife and Quake 3?? They allow anyone to run a server, but you still have to authenticate (sp?) with the main key server. Like Duh! Something tells me that Blizzards key scheme sucks and they know it. They should go talk with _id_ software about how to do it if they can't figure it out. This is one step to making me put them on my black list.
Huh? Yes, we do get milk in bags, but there are also cartons and plastic jugs of milk available too...:)

If they put them in a cartridge type case, you wouldnt need to have a seperate dvd case. I don't see them taking up more room then now. They will probably ship them with a paper case around them as its the cheapest and would still make it look good.
Have you looked into the various kinds of trackballs out there? I had hand/wrist pain and since switching to one of those curved (ergo) keyboards and a MS Trackball Explorer (its optical too) my pain has dropped to almost nothing. It takes about a week of use to really get comfortable with the new setup, but its really nice once you do.
The job is ACTUALLY not very dangerous if education and overseeing is done properly.
This is total Bull Shit... please go ask a few Army Engineers about their job and ask them if its "not very dangerous".
Hey look! I poke a stick at mines all day hoping I wont accidently just miss and later step on it! Or I use a medal detector... but the mines might be plastic and not set it off, damn I stepped on one!
Where are the/.'ers that go to these Universities and have seen this code? Why are there no comments being posted by them? Makes me wonder who gets to actually play with the code.
Creating games has become a true massmarket medium - unfortunately it is also almost entirely about money now and for most in the industry has nothing to do with vision or fun.
Check out Garage Games for a good assortment of games being produced mostly for fun and maybe a little profit in the end (its possible!), but mostly for fun. Some of the games being made would be classified as "different" and would cater to a niche market... check out the listed projects and maybe get involved in something. Most projects are looking for poeple to help out.
I haven't tried Realm Wars yet, because it requires glibc2.2(still running 2.1), is it any good?
I tried it just yesterday and its looking promising. Its limited right now but I think given a bit of time it will be a rather fun game.
Take the time to download it if your running Windows or Linux (using Linux myself) and play around with it. Lots of fun with a couple people.
There are lots of games being built with the Torque engine and I hope many of those are released multi OS. I know "my" project will be.
is trolling with this line:
As everyone knows, Vim is the best (only?) text editor, and KDE is the best (only?) desktop system. Heh.
Taco: you should know better than that by now!

Second, notice how far away the "keyboard" is away from the Palm
You could easily move the Palm beside the keyboard display unit, no reason to have it back that far.

...Doh! for all those who just bought the new iMacs with the DVD burners in them. Guess I know what my next upgrade will be.

I just figured someone would have seen it who does post around here... maybe they just dont trust posting as an AC enough to do so.

In other words this is a laptop without a screen?
What Laptop is 5"x3"x0.75"? Think iPod... but better!
