Well, I got mine to keep track of addresses/homework, but when you can play so many games and emulate game boy games, I don't see why you need it for your addresses. I have had a blast developing on my palm... I got linux to work on it, but I ditched that after missing Zap!2000.
The record for indurance form space is just over 200 days. When he returned, he was carried out on a streacher due to the sudden "Gravity". Based on that and that a mission to mars would take x days to get there (and then x again to get back) and x to stay on the planet to actually do somthing, wouldn't it not be possible with today's technology, to even attempt a mars mission?

OK, Lindows probably won't ever be that big, so why does Microsoft care? does 4 letters mean that much to them? Personally, I dont't think we should give in and let Windows take over, but hey, I guess then Linus should sue next... Man, sometimes I can't figure out why Microsoft can't spend it's extra $32B better.
After they spend a ton of money (probably it'll be a ton in $100 bills) what's next? I've seen shows about a superior race... where they make a human how they want it. It would be very tall, strong, cute, smart, etc etc. But, what's the point? Will being turned into a race within a race with a superior race included also be good? Anyway, if this knowledge is used in the right way, what is there to do?
As many of you/.'ers have said, going to goto.com and searching "bulk e-mail" and clicking on the first 5 can help. But, as a side project, I am thinking about making a program that automaticly does that (all the searching and clicking) and put it in cron and making it run maybe 20 times a day... anyone else out there feeling the same way and might want to help?
lol, well, I'm so glad most of us can read numbers... (Hint, Hint: 1600 does not = 16,000)and that would make it nearer to 5 messages a day... read the article!
Does anyone think it would be possible to get someone with TiVo, copy the linux data to a CD-R, then make your own PVR without the charge with your own linux box? (might not be ethical... but would it work?)
Finally! With this, I think all the Linux GUI's will be better off. Wow, I remember when GUI ment small boxes that had no shadowing, and such. But what ever did happen to those many old desktops we used before?
I know this new scientific/medical theory will needed to be proved many times, but my most recent proof for it works. For every new update Microsoft releases, the end user will need to re-install Windows within a 24 hour peroid. Those who continue in this pattern will eventually become brain-dead and will forget the difference between tcp/ip and an icecream shop. The only cure comes from cirtain "open-source" OS's, such as GNU/Linux and BSD. Any changes to this theory will be welcome. It will be submitted to my proof math book soon.
As for me, I really don't care if it's just a stem cell and will not be allowed to be a human. Who are we to make, and take, life at our own will? If it's OK to do this, what keeps us from killing every other person on earth that doesn't do what we say? It just isn't right. Plus, our president has already given other ways to get stem cells. As with my standings with abortion, I believe this is hightly unethical and not moral.
OK, well, I'm a fan of XMMS, but WinAmp is cool in Windows... So, is this going to mess up XMMS forever? Probably not. XMMS is already distrobuted with most distros of Linux... Plus, this is a alpha and may result in being pretty buggy, who knows...
This seems cool, but the subscription seems kinda fuzzy... the idea is good, but we are talking WINE... we want to make better software than Windows does, not try to be under them. Plus, if they keep this up, we might be so blessed to get those cool viruses... this might be good, or bad.
Well, if what your saying us true (you have ample disk space and you are seeming to want very good quality songs) why don't you just do what you like better? Have a very good Ogg player? Use ogg. Have a good MP3 player? Use MP3. Have both or one that does both? Use your favorite... I would prefer MP3 since it is more portable, but you can do whatever.
better than in "The Net", where the ip could never happen (xxx.3xx.xxx.xxx)...

I just have to do it... FP!

Here I am, just comming back from a week vacation, and they can make 2Ghz chips already? When I left, the best I could get was a 266Mhz!
Well, I'm ok with this, but just wondering if this is like the last attempt they made (ads in Linux on their demo?).
get the source change it recompile repeat

I just can't wait till they make it for Windows, so I'll be able to get half the "stability" Windows offers... ;-)
