$200 for 2 days standing in line = loss! Bigtime! I make twice that amount each day, so I would have lost $600! (or in other words - even another new ps3!)
The European crowd is alot more demanding than US and Japanese customers. It might be as easy as they want to get the bugs out of the system before launching in Europe?
The fact that they are using blueray for ps3 games is not only to force the public to buy blueray products. It also gives you the possibility to create bigger games that you can put on one CD. As game development moves forward, 360 owners will have a hard time changing DVDs or using half of 360 processing power to uncompress gamedata, while ps3 can store raw data on the blueray discs.
Why blame Sony for using bigger discs to store games on? Using HD-DVD discs for ps3 gameplay was, I bet, never a possibility;)
The more I read about Wii, the less I want one... I was 100% set on buying a Wii and a PS3 (money no issue if I really want one), both as soon as they come out, but now it looks like I'll just wait for the PS3 and skip the Wii - and hope someone creates a Wii emulator for PS3 soon;)
As was said in Tokyo, open systems are the future!;)
hardware problems, either hardware itself or driverproblems.
First time back in 98 because my processor was buggy in Windows - Only booted the OS every second or third time, and it costed too much for a poor student to replace. -> Slackware 3.something i think
Switched back for 2-3 years, after getting a laptop, for 2-3 years because of OS dependent software used in school. (MS Software)
Lately because somehow my hardware-drivers killed my partition tables. Happend 8 times during one week. After that I gave up, and now my computer hasn't rebooted since i recompiled the the kernel after installing slack 10.2.
Don't know why this always happens to me, but somehow, linux is always working better with my faulty hardware. Prolly just me that do not understand how windows is working:)
I've got a Bachelor of Science in System Information from last year
I am working with Corporate Governance and Fraud investigation... Pays ALOT better, and is more interesting, and also - The future is bright since this is a new subject
Get into IT auditing and Sarbanes Oxley, and I promise you... your future will be green!
Erh, I've had motion sensing capabilities for ages on my ps2 - you don't even have to wave a stupid controller around!

Stats are:
9 of 10 people with office browse the internet for more than 1 hour per day
The rest doesnt know how to open the browser
Send it to me, and I'll set it up, and send it back to you (when sales starts in Norway next year) :-)
Actually - there might be another reason

Depends on the legislation of the country!
Doh! There's something called remote access, and you can use 3g / wifi / gprs / whatever rocks your socks.... It's not that hard to imagine, is it?
I agree in theory, but I'd chosen ps2 ;)

What about PCs with linux preinstalled?
I coudln't agree more.
They are not any better than the clerk stealing money from the cash register, just because the numbers are bigger.
Cooking the books is cooking the books, even though your pot is bigger.
Will be delivered in "home" and "pro" editions, with office expansion packs tho
My company has employed 5 new people for the SOX compliance.
All we had to do was to get things we already do onto paper!
The biggest cost is the auditor review afterwards.
The problem comes when auditors do not read PCAOBs recommendations, and when companies hire external consultants to help them with the SOX compliance.
SOX is just "best practice" - don't complain! It's needed in a lot of companies!
BTW - my company is the 3rd larges in its type of work in the world, a multi bn. USD company.
Where can i pre-order one? I want one now!
And why do we wait for the ps3 instead of purchasing 360?
I think one of the choices in the Open Office survey when asking why you installed it says it best:
- Because it's not microsoft!
This effect is also very easy to notice on Sunday morning!
