In XP's shutdown-menu you can press and hold SHIFT to see more options, -the standby becomes hibernate, if nothing else-; isn't this a possibility in Vista, aswell?
You can run "u"Torrent perfectly under Wine; even by just "wine uTorrent.exe", and nothing more. -"u"Torrent is free, -so is Wine-, so I don't see the problem at all..

This is more-or-less lifted straight from the book "Freakonomics," by Steven D. Levitt that came out last year; so what is new?..
Collections such as these won't always meet your expectations; if for nothing else, modern controllers aren't close enough to what the original games used, and so it won't always work that well.
"Midway Arcade Treasures 2" - Xbox(1):
Mortal Kombat 2, Mortal Kombat 3, Gauntlet II, Spyhunter II, Xybots, NARC, APB, Cyberball 2072, Timber, Total Carnage, Pit Fighter, Wizard of Wor, Xenophobe, Primal Rage, Arch Rivals, Rampage World Tour, Kozmik Krooz'r, Championship Spirit, Hard Drivin', Wacko.
-Of these, Timber is "the best;" works well, and is fun. Rampage W.T. actually works with the "modern" controller aswell, but there are limits to how fun that one is over time. - - - Most of the remaining titles doesn't quite work, sorry to say..
(..evaluated with the "S"-controller series; "small", compared to bulky original controller..)

The reason people write "I'll prob. get mod'ed down.." etc., is because they assume everyone will fall for their quasi-psychopathic -schemes, and followingly, that every mod-point -holder is a bona-fide sucker, just because there's a massive (visible) precense of mee-too'ers on here, -think again; people aren't all idiots just because the idiots are the easier to spot.
-It works _too often_, even though it obviously shouldnt. -That kind of "reward tactics" shouldn't _ever_ be rewarded, if for nothing else; in case the same scheme-maker applies this style to other aspects in life; which would suck for the real people caught up in the tide. -The "following the wind"-ism, when it comes to "hate MS", (etc.,) doesn't matter that much, but this kind of crap _really does_.
I can't even imagine how Firefox users can stand the inferior back/forward navigation buttons, and how much delay they present.
With Opera, (pre 9.x, even,) you just click back, and the previous page jumps right up; fully rendered and ready. --With Firefox, you have to wait, and get to listen to the processor throttling up, as if this was Java 1.2 on Win95..
Yeah, in hindsight I saw what you really meant; my apologies. It just initially seemed like a dash to "deny" IE of the things it _can_ do, and I was a bit quick on the 'ol triggy there.. all pardons
IE can do more than just fonts (I'm not saying this to support IE; Personally, I think it sucks,) check the page beneath my nick. -There _could_ be xhtml errors there, (I doubt it,) but IE renders it just fine, or; just like Firefox..
And yeah; I haven't tested it in IE7, as that browser is not complete yet.
(Never-mind the content, and, yes; the page is simple..)
They've ran into some slight delays, as the budget for developing the game depends heavily on how well their "Snowballs from Hell"-delivery service works out..
Only assuming that the so-called "stupid person" understands that it was _this specific virus_ that did it, and remember what was done _on his part_ for it to end up this or that way.
And there should be a third read only chip containing the original bios, which could somehow be loaded in the case of an emergency/mistake. BIOS chips can't really be that expensive, so putting extra security measures in place to not get your system hosed are important.
Gigabyte have had this for a few years now. They call it Dual Bios.
I'm thinking it would probably be a good idea to contact the supplier or motherboard (or BIOS) manufacturer specifying your wish for a "spare" bios chip, so as to atleast have one clean chip "offline," just in case something should happen to the one being on-line.
-After all, if they truly are inexpensive, and the supplier is cool about peddling loose chips, then why not say "thank you; may I have another," and get crackin'?
If the new BIOS'es haven't physically changed their form-factor from "good 'ol pinlegs of the past," and the ROM-size is >/= the "modern" one's, maybe it'd been a good sparetime activity to flash some of those chips that you have lying around in your old computers, so as to have multiple offline backups of "whatever turns her on"..
When can we blame Bush's war in Iraq on Call of Duty or SOCOM?
Never, because Bush himself sits somewhere in America, with no sand up his nostrils nor experiencing any of the stresses from being in a war situation.

Look, just because some app would be Java, ("web"-app; through a browser,) it doesn't automatically make it _depend_ on the internet.
So if they'd gone with a java-pager or whatever you meant in your post, it'd been insane to run it on the internet, anyways..
