Google Toolbar Tracks Your Browsing, Even When Off
At first I thought that this meant that Google was tracking my movements even when my computer was off. I wondered how they'd do this and then I remembered about Google Street View.
It only takes a couple of clicks to change it to a different engine. Hopefully they won't do anything cute and change it back everytime I upgrade (I'm looking at you Microsoft).
I was horrified when I saw some of the prices on the PSN video store. £2.50 to rent Zoolander. In the UK, that film is on TV every other weekend and then DVD is probably onto £3.99. There's no way I'd rent that, much less fork out the £6.99 for the SD version.
That said, with proper 3D movies coming into play, I'm quite willing to still go to the cinema, sure I find the price quite high but if you haven't seen a 3D film yet I urge you to go and see one, it's very rare that I'm impressed with technology but this is something else.
Movies are definitely not like music, except it would be nice if you could download your favourite single episode of Family Guy, The Simpsons or The Big Bang Theory instead of having to fork for the box set (or can you already do this).
When Google said that it wouldn't remove the picture I was quite annoyed with them, but then it suddenly dawned on me that if they removed that picture, the very next thing that would happen is that some bright spark would speak up and say "Great, now take this one down too, because it's just as bad" and before you know it, the whole situation's lost control.
It wasn't particularly fair on Google and they had to make a tough decision and I think in this instance they made the right one.
I have a similar complaint about KPackageKit. You can optionally choose to make it store your password so that you don't have to type it in when you next install or update packages. That's fair enough, if you trust that no one is going to install anything dodgy then that's OK. What I do take issue with is that this box is checked by default.
Granted I imagine most people might simply click this anyway but am I the only one who thinks this is a bit of an oversight?

It only links to part of the article, you have to purchase the rest as DLC
As a result, he suggested, EA sells DLC to both communities of gamers. And that's how a pirate can turn into a paying customer.
So what you're saying is that we should only sell half the game in the shops and make the customer download the rest of it as DLC?

Foolishly, the court allowed him to send these apologies via email.

They already know they don't run Linux, they just to play Uncharted 2 and Demon's Souls.
I bet they just based their simulation on Simon's Cat which, to be honest, is a pretty accurate representation.
