And for God's sake turn off the light, otherwise it's like watching The Grudge during the day with the light streaming onto the TV screen.

Seriously, that's not funny. Maybe if their practices weren't so predatory then we wouldn't have to donate so much to charity because the original companies would still be around...
I bet to differ Microsoft. Why would I use SourceSafe, which is slow (checking out takes a very long time), unreliable (corrupts itself regularly) and costs money when I can use CVS which is fast, reliable and is free?
How many people seriously watched DVDs on a PS2 instead of a real standalone player?
I did and still do. When I left my parents, I took my PS2 along with the rest of my stuff. Living in rented accomodation with no living room meant I had to watch TV on my 15in portable. I had a games console which conveniently doubled up as a DVD player. 4 years later I still see no reason to get a stand alone player while I still have my PS2 and eventually a PS3.
I had a Samsung D500 phone with a 1 Megapixel camera. The quality was superb and I was really impressed with it. The phone had to go though because that was the only good feature, it wasn't even useful as a phone. I got a Nokia 6230i with a 1.3 Megapixel camera. I'm still stunned at how bad the quality of the pictures are.
Basically, if you're going to buy something on the strength of the inbuilt camera, make sure the quality of the pictures is actually good.
I new to Linux and am still running Fedora Core 3. Am I right in thinking that to upgrade to FC5 I have to basically backup anything I want to keep and reinstall everything? Is there no easier way of upgrading?
On every single flight I have been on, we've all been told to switch off all electronic equipment during take off and landing and to keep cell phones off during the whole flight, even ones with Flight Mode enabled.
I'm sure there are other ways to get around it on devices such as digital cameras and such as well.
I guess the camera would have to be able to format the card when you insert it. Getting Joe Sixpack to format a card before he puts it into his camera just isn't going to work.

So Microsoft are going to buy Sony, which includes Televisions, DVD Players, Walkmans, their music label, their film label, PlayStation...
Even if this was true, I expect a purchase would be blocked by one or more governments.
