    How are they going to stop people from building multi-headed clients? It would be nice if they would work toward standardizing or creating a common protocol for IM instead always trying to fragment it.

    You hit the nail right on the head. Unfortunately many larger companies find it cheaper to pay a licensing fee than to fight it in court. Who loses is the little guy who can't afford a defense or the licensing fee.

    Shame on Balthasar. I remember when they were a small start-up doing good work. Hopefully they are only doing this to protect themselves.

    Where are these "Christian" extremists exactly, and whose embassies are they burning?

    They are too busy killing doctors and burning clinics. Not to mention the amount of time you waste during an occasional Crusade or a Spanish Inquisition.

    Your post just proved the parent's position. "Social changes" are part of the environment:

    So yes, this is good example of natural selection, but maybe not inheritance, which is probably what you are thing of.

    Price goes up, sales go down. Find the happy medium. Your pricepoint is about $25 above it right now. $15 if it's actually decent.

    No please, they deserve their money for their work. And we have the right to purchase those rights from someomne else (ianal). Sorry if I misread you, but we need to pay for what we play.

    The happy medium is that players want to keep the games they purchase (prorperty). Being an old fart I still keep my old cartidge games in air-tight baggies.

    If you created decent games, we wouldn't mind paying full price and guess what? We'd actually keep them rather than sell them as second hand. Wow! What a novel solution.
