Not just phones. I've got a cordless Sony phone that's over 10 years old. The thing is a tank. Now, a friend of mine she got a cordless Sony phone a couple of years ago and it died completely last year. I hear the same story over and over. Old Sony == Quality, Current Sony == Crap.
I'm not getting a PS3. Not because of the price. It's because they can't make good hardware anymore.
It's not the metering that's expensive. It's the billing infrastructure. Metered anything requires more customer service people and billing people. Metered means you have to deal with disputes about usage and such.
That will be interesting to see. They probably have a mechanism for handling it since it happens periodically. I'm sure the biggest result of magnetic field reversal will be the number of PhDs granted.
Oh boy. Another blogging client. Everything seems to be able to post to blogs now so I propose the Hostetler Corollary to Zawinski's Law
"If a program can read or write email it will continue to expand until it can post to blogs."
Most users click on "Yes" whenever presented with a prompt. It's hard for a non technical person to figure out the difference between spyware and yet another plugin needed to view a site.
That's where Sony messed up. What they need to do is make a portable gaming system. Not a multimedia box. Anyone who wants multimedia already has a iPod.
Don't forget the PTO (Paid Time Off) scam where they roll your sick days and vacation into a single package. People come in sick because they don't want to lose what little vacation they have.
The other scam is to offer Sick Days but have severe penalties for using them. I worked at a hospital(!) where if you used any sick time you were ineligible for a raise.
Sometimes BCC is just so you don't give away other peoples email addresses without their permission. That's rude. You should treat someones email address like a phone number. Get permission before giving it out.
It gets especially bad when people forward interesting/funny/wierd messages and leave all the addresses on them.
Yes! Email is not IM. I make a point of not answering email too quickly just because of that. I also have Outlook set to never ring the new mail bell unless the mail is addressed only to me. That way I know there is something I ought to look at when I get a moment.
I wish I had some mod points left. You hit it right on the head.

All the Coral Cache has is the database error.

You heard it here first.
I was thinking another giveaway to the RIAA/MPAA but a national ID card would make more sense.
Depressing isn't it?
Go read the article. The proposed legislation sounds reasonable. It should have been done years ago.
Now, what sort of evil riders will be attached?

...for posting his email address on the front page.
I salute you.
Ahhh, yes. Logans Run is my favorite present for anyone turning 30.
Eight hours straight in a chair? I can't go more then a hour without having to go potty. The guy must have a bladder the size of a basketball.

Because it's small and it's fast and lots of us have used it so long the commands are hardwired into our nervous system.
Yahoo! isn't a news source. It's an aggragator for Reuters/AP newsfeeds. AFAIK they do not produce any of their own news.
I wonder if that implies that all the others got less then 11%? If so we distrust the news more then anyone.
Someone is getting hot coffee tossed on them for that headline.

You do know that +1 Funny mods don't improve Karma?

I don't watch much TV right now and if it gets annoying I will stop altogether. I do that every few years anyway because it just gets annoying.
If TV becomes annoying to watch people will stop watching. You'd think they could figure that out.
Don't forget the lemon juice!
Yes, I said Redneck Cyber Ninja Monkeys.
It is funny but the link provides the wrong MIME type so be sure to use Save As or you'll see all sorts of little boxes in a Firefox tab.
