    In a shooting war between any of the major powers ALL NAVY vessels are weak or obsolete and would be the first casualties in any major conflict, especially any Navy operating a significant distance from its home base.

    The insurance policy of good relations with China and Japan is always going to be a far better insurance policy than the US can ever provide. SK is a well developed country, without the threat of war hanging over it from North Korea a total divorce from US political influences would likely be a hugely positive development for them.

    No he didn't. So far North Korea has done exactly what it said it would do, the only thing that may have brought them to the table a little sooner is the likely collapse of their testing facility and the reasonableness of SK. If anything Trump has caused the delays of this happening sooner.

    Also, many things that are $10 or $20 on Amazon or e-bay are $3.25 from AliExpress, free shipping, if you're willing to wait 6-8 weeks.

    Aliexpress we generally find takes about 2 weeks in Australia. Not bad for saving between 70%+ on amazon prices.

    yes you should ban non metric sign posting, measurements in purchased products etc. sadly the only way to get out of archaic habits is to ban it, similiar to witch burning, dueling, slavery etc. expecting people to change just because what they are doing is stupid is never enough to create change. The part I find so amusing is for a country that trumpets its independence movement and forward thinking and yet clings tightly to a relic of the british empire.

Really it isn't that complex, gambling is a monetary transaction in exchange for a "chance" at profit, be that money, goods or virtual items.

  14. Then the OP completely misunderstands the market and basic economics. As long as they make healthy profits they are going to stay in the business. I am a PC gamer but even I can see the basic truth that there is a massive market for console type gaming in the living room at a reasonable price, something the PC gaming market can't address.

    Even for Web browsing and Email a phone or tablet suck balls. After 10 years the desktop/laptop is still an infinitely better experience even for those items. tablets and phones appear like they will always augment rather than replace desktops as they just don't provide the same experience.

    Actually under GDPR EU law does apply, at least according to the EU. How will it work? no idea, that is one of the big discussion points in GDPR as realistically they have no means of enforcement outside of the EU, nor means of investigation etc.

Even taking a 10% stake in every company on the stock market would not come close to covering your 2 trillion a year price tag. people don't seem to comprehend just how huge a number that is. that is more than half the current US total tax revenue. perhaps if you see it with all the Zero's you might comprehend what a fuck load of money that is 2,000,000,000,000. Now then start thinking about how fucking huge a set of assets you require to consistently generate that income, it would need to be 40-50 trillion dollars in assets owned by the state to generate it and even then you are only giving people a paltry amount, not enough to actually live on,

    NO IT ISN'T. It is applicable to all companies that interact or do business with any company or individual with data of an EU citizen regardless of location of the company.

    costs nothing, what fucking world do you live in? My parents used to pay thousands to accept cash. The armoured vans that did the cash pickup alone cost more than the credit card fees, insurance to have cash on premises was also around 20% premium when they used to run their business. Then you had the loss through teller mistakes/mishandling/theft as well as the cost of someone collecting and accounting for it all. Cash is EXPENSIVE to process.

    UBI in 10 years for the developed world is not a rational sensible prediction. Just like saying a million people will be living on the moon in 10 years is not a sensible rational prediction. UBI and living on the moon are both possible, neither prediction is remotely rational for a 10 year time frame.
