No they didn't. The law is very explicit, you DO NOT void a warranty by using your own repairer unless the damage that was done is a direct result of that repair which in this case it was NOT. In Australia a company cannot change a consumers rights under the law regardless of what they say in EULA's, warranty statements etc.

uTorrent went from being my favourite app to being a Ad pushing bucket of shit. I won't touch it again, they lost my trust and loyalty and I don't think there is anything they can do to get it back. currently using qBittorrent, fast, easy, full featured and ad fucking free
didn't say impossible, just hugely unlikely. They also were not roaming animals so if they were spotted someone and existed they should be easily found and the fact they haven't been is telling. The human mind is an amazing predictive machine, letting us see what we think it should see, this is great for reflexes and general everyday survival, but it also means people can sometimes see what they want to see. most likely they see feral cats, dogs or dingos (all sightings where hair or fur was found was found to be one of those three).
Take it with a MASSIVE grain of salt, Tassie tiger spotting's are like bigfoot sightings, never any quality camera or video footage (despite us living in an age when just about every man woman and child has a camera device on them). Every year we hear about sightings all through Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia and Occasionally Queensland, yet despite this and a constant stream of trackers and experts no one has found a living or dead one (i.e. non fossilised remains). It would be nice if they still existed but it is far more likely they are gone, they were easily tracked and hunted when they existed.
It just means large budget games by the large development houses. typically with budgets in the 10's of millions of dollars and large promotional/advertising budgets as well
yeah bullshit. Most people don't give a shit about disk ownership anymore. You are in the minority now as can easily be seen from the rapidly increasing digital adoption rate even on consoles and the complete digital dominance on PC's/
The actual benefits were awesome for users too, it was just the sticking point of requiring "ALWAYS" connected that had us all pissed, it wasn't worth getting all those awesome sweet bits when it had a steaming turd sitting on top. had they said licensing would need to be validated once a week or such they probably would have been fine, always connected just is not an option.
You can in Australia too, however still a lot of backward hicks here that think cash or going inside to do card payments is somehow magically faster than a quick swipe.
