the recent Gillette commercial where the company said men should tone down their toxic masculinity. Here is a great example. Because the reviewer wrote something which didn't effusively glow about a how ripped Momoa was, about how manly he looked, about how his character portrayed all that is manly (based on the above blurb it seemed the character did not do that), the "men" came out in droves to criticize, belittle and of course, threaten the person who gave their honest opinion.
It's almost as if Gillette was sending out a not so subtle message about reality.
I've been saying for some time (including today to one of our customers) Windows 2000 was the best operating system Microsoft ever made. Fast, easy to use, able to accomplish what you wanted with ease. No harassment about this or that, no waiting for an explorer screen to "update" what was in the directory.
I dare say if I put a power supply in my W2K system at home it would still run faster than my work machine.
No, it's not. Thirty years is enough to make significant changes. If one guy can do this all by himself, imagine what could happen if millions of people did the same all over the planet.
If enough people do this, or something similar, it won't even take that long.
Maybe it's just me, but if I see a call come from a number I don't know, I don't answer the phone.
Does this mean people have become Pavlovian to answering their phone regardless of anything else? Wouldn't it be easier to simply not answer the phone every time it rings? Or is that too simplistic?
I'd prefer a standard transmission, maybe a couple USB ports, AC and no OnStar, No built-in cellular, no computers for anything more than controlling fuel injection...
My 2010 Hyundai Elantra is exactly that. Drives like a dream once I got better tires put on. Also gets better city mileage than what the manufacturer says it should.
Don't know about the newer Hyundais. Most likely they have a screen in place of the center console so no real buttons or knobs like mine has.
Cruze - not sure on price. I was considering it, but until 2018, it wasn't exceptional in quality or style. Compare that to a similarly priced Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Toyota and it will probably get outshined.
Probably? There is no probably. The Cruze comes dead last (and far back) in every comparison except price. When I was looking for a new car I drove a Cruze. Suck comes to mind as to how to describe it. Everyone knows cars have lots of plastic in them, but to "see" and feel the plastic is off-putting. However, every American vehicle I've sat in has this same flaw. Not to mention they're not quiet compared to the Asian brands and their controls most definitely suck.
The only reason Ford, GM, and Chrysler are still around is because of the uneducateds who grew up on American cars and think sloppy design and poor handling are how a car is supposed to be.
Because the con artist shut down the government, or at least part of it, only essential personnel at NASA will be on duty when the flyby happens.
"During the Shutdown Furlough, you will be in a nonpay, nonduty status. During this time, you will not be permitted to serve NASA as an unpaid volunteer. You must remain away from your worksite, and may not work at home, in another location, or participate in events hosted by non-NASA entities in your official capacity like speeches or speakers bureau engagements, unless and until recalled."
The shutdown also means NASA has had to turn to another contractor lab, the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona in Tucson, to document when another space agency probe, OSIRIS-REx, goes into orbit around the asteroid Bennu, another milestone scheduled for New Year's Eve. NASA TV will similarly cover those announcements, according to Bridenstine.
Someone I know from another site has a niece whose husband works at NASA and is a big supporter of the con artist. He's taking a little bit of pleasure knowing the guy won't be around for the momentous occasion and won't get to see it until afterwards. Nor is he getting paid and won't get a pay raise next year.
After all the crappy movies of Transformers being killed, are there any left to catch fire? Or was this one of those spontaneous fire things from the pile of their carcasses?
When I need information it's now one-stop shopping in Estonia. All the people's information in one convenient place. No muss, no fuss, Hack once and live a lifetime.
BTW, what happens when, not if, Russia decides that uppity former republic needs to be taught a lesson? We've seen what they're trying to do in the Ukraine. Imagine a country with a population less than the city of Philadelphia being taken down when nothing works because somehow, mysteriously, large amounts of data are lost or corrupted.
What's that saying about putting all your eggs in one basket?
Or you could just hand them a plastic id like you currently have.
Au contraire, mon frere. This is digital! It's better. Everything is better when it's digital.
Just like the recent article where businesses are no longer accepting cash, and someone said a person could always go down the block and turn their ready cash into a plastic card, it makes no sense to simply turn over something you already have. Nowadays you have to go digital. Digital is where it's at.
Think about it. Now you get to whip out your phone, unlock it (hoping you did it right the first time), find the app, wait for it to load, most likely sign into the app or in some other method identify yourself, then, and ONLY then, can you produce your identification. Now compare that to handing over a card: pull out your wallet, find the card, present the card.
Clearly digital is the way to go. Why? Because it's digital!
Have other taxi companies done this and if so, what was the final outcome? Did their drivers get paid or was the clause removed to allow for class action lawsuits?
Get rid of non-compete clauses so people can go wherever they want with the knowledge they have.
We should also get rid of any law which says someone who works for government can't leave and use their knowledge working for a firm lobbying the very place they just left.
bring a device close to the home's door, close to where most keys are sitting,
I must be one of the few people whose car key isn't located anywhere near the front door. It must be close to 30' where I put my key.
Also, as someone further up said, I drive a stick shift. Even though I have an electronic door lock, it only works when I press the button. So even if they could steal my signal, my anti-theft device will keep them at bay.
Why are the U.S. taxpayers subsidizing these failing industries? Look at Comcast. They only had $4.3 billion in free cash flow in the second quarter of 2018. Why should we pour more of our hard earned money down the drain for a company which can't survive without its corporate welfare payments?
And what about Verizon? They've only had $26.2 billion in free cash flow so far this year. What a travesty that such a failing company has to beg for money from the taxpayers.
it will gladly loan anyone money to go to college regardless of their likelihood of being successful there, the ability for their degree to allow them to earn a living or pay back their loan, or any other sensible metric.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was offering $4.6 billion over 25 years. Needless to say, the top Republicans in the House and Senate were more than happy to use taxpayer money to prop up a failing private business while at the same time ignoring the $74 billion pension deficit created by another Republican, Tom Ridge.
Microsoft owes no one anything. They've been working for decades to get to this point and now that they run the show, you'll like it. Who are you going to go to? Apple? Their hardware is years behind a Windows machine and at least 50% more expensive. Not to mention Apple products don't work well on a network (yes, there are exceptions).
Linux you say? Oh please. Keep your day job if that was supposed to be a joke. Linux barely works now without having to continually tweak something. Sure, the server end is running well, but for the end consumer it's all but a non-starter. How many times have governments said they'd be moving to Linux only to come back a year later and say it's too complicated, doesn't integrate well, doesn't have the software, etc, etc, etc?
Windows 10 is shit, but it's the best smelling shit of the three. Which isn't saying much when its stench pervades everything you do. If anyone thinks Microsoft cares what you think they should be doing, you're deluded. They're the only (real) game in town and they're going to milk it for all its worth. Your downtime or inconvenience be damned.
The object is neither long enough or wide enough to hold a multitude of species. Nor was its approach to the Sun close enough to allow the Frozen Sea to melt. Finally, when it dove out of the orbital plane, it never accelerated sharply.
Thus, we can safely say it is not a Raman design. Besides, we didn't have any spacecraft capable of intercepting it and having people explore it.
How about disabling browsing, download, search and form history, forcing the browser to get a fresh copy of every page even if you've previously visited, and clearing everything when you close the browser at night.
The problem with this world is that wise people are full of doubt, and dumbasses are full of confidence.

Make sure you include snippets of other videos which bounce around so much you can't tell what you're looking at.
That way you can show off your product to its full effect.

This solves two problems. Those who undergo this "treatment" will die off and the fools who fund this nonsense will be out their money.

Who or what is a PewDiePie and why should I care? Never heard of him/it so it can't be important.

And yet, college can offer so much including reduction in crime and poverty.
That college costs so much despite universities sitting on billions of dollars in endowments might be a better area to look at.
