    Because when we talk about operating systems it always seems to be about markethsare.
    Minix being in 100% of the Intel-powered computers made in nearly the last decade, it has a higher marketshare than Windows, macOS and Linux.

    Are you talking about the same Minix that's embedded in each and every Intel CPU since almost the last decade or so?

    Windows is the loser OS, you have to install it. Only losers install an operating system.

    You build enough excess solar and wind capacity that even under the worst conditions you still have enough for the entire continent (Canada and Mexico should be part of this grid also).

    As a Canadian, I can already tell you that it will never work. Up north, we use metric electricity.

  14. There should be a data limit PER AD too.

    And if everyone is forced to use plain static images then they'll stop trying to out-do their competitors with animated GIFs and javascript+canvas crap. That takes too much data and CPU, which drains the batteries.

    Force them all to use basic plain PNG. Most problems will be solved by this simple-to-enforce solution.

    I'm not advocating a systemd scenario here, but shouldn't this kind of pretty basic thing be built-in the OS itself? It's just three big fucking counters... one for cellular, one for wi-fi and one for bluetooth.

    For the most part, it's still a "small players" game at the moment compared to other world-wide markets.

    In a bit more than two weeks, "CME Bitcoin Futures" will join the small players and they'll be able to either pump it back up at an even faster rate, or they'll be able to stabilize the value and let it increase slowly over time.
