You really think mainstream stores would stop carrying titles like Halo, DOA, Hitman, etc (I think those are all M)? Why, they like throwing away money? People like buying them, so the stores will stock them. They still carry rated R movies, don't they?
The supreme court is the last defense against violations of the first amendment.
Voluntary censorship doesn't entirely help things necessarily. When the 'mature' designation is something that won't be carried by mainstream stores, inevitable market enforced censorship tends to set in as game developers often would tend to feel a profit-motive to limit themselves to the 'acceptible' criteria to ensure wide distribution... thus, subtly censoring much of what is produced.
Anyone else notice that the number dialed sounds awfully like a touch-tone rendition of "That's Amore", as in "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, That's amore"?
Some sort of subtly humourous mobster reference, perhaps?

It is common for journalists to give "both sides" on a story.
Taubenberger is the alarmest, obviously. Mr. Palese was the voice of reason as it were... And note that Taubenberger is obviously lying (or stupidly misinformed) himself by saying that it has killed 'half the humans it has infected', which is completely belied by the results previously mentioned by Mr. Palese.

Ah chicken little... so convinient to completely ignore obvious scientific demonstration that it's fatality is FAR less in the actuality.
Some experts like Peter Palese of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York said the H5N1 viruses are a false alarm. He notes that studies of serum collected in 1992 from people in rural China indicated that millions there had antibodies to the H5N1 strain. That means they had been infected with an H5N1 bird virus and recovered, apparently without incident.
So they want to be able to, at any time, change the terms of a contract that I am bound to, without notifying me... unless I want to re-read the entire contract each time I log into the site. Otherwise, sounded kind of cool... I would have done it!

If these were 2048-bit or 4096-bit key executives, then I think microsoft really has reason to worry!...But if they were 512-bit key executives, then this is barely news.

Enter the name of a news source or author (e.g., new york times or dave barry), or a topic or industry (e.g., gardening or nanotechnology). If you know the exact web address (URL), you can also enter that directly.

I'm seriously tempted to go out and buy one of these right now, but for the fact that I am one of those in the minority who actually don't own or use windows at all. The code is windows only. But, since the program for the camera occupies flash memory, I would suspect that their is some facility for re-flashing the programming on the camera to avoid this hack... and I could concievably see employees at CVS's plugging in all the cameras to load them with updated software soon, thus eliminating the reusable utility of a camera purchased in the future.
I wonder how hard it would be for someone to port the code to a useable linux application?
...at least not without further details. India has had an extensive caste system for a very long time, which has also discouraged interbreeding, especially with the brahmin elite class.
One might argue that the differences in british vs. american immigrant indians might come from different ratios of caste immigration. I am completely unaware of any data on this, but it does question the strength of your environment over heredity arguement.
In college, for a chemistry class, the textbook included some a CD-ROM with some java software that we were supposed to use at home for our homework (or in a provided computer lab for the less fortunate). Anyway, I couldn't legally run it at home, because the shrink-wrap EULA prohibited running it on more than one CPU...As my home system was a SMP athlon system (an affordable one too, using the XP-to-MP trick), I could not legally run it at home! What was even funnier was that when I mentioned this to the professor, he seemed terribly suprised that I actually read the EULAs. I suppose that most people don't, which you would think would strongly challenge their enforcability, but alas.
Thankfully, I just went to disney about 2 months ago, so I've had my fill for the next decade or so. I would never consent to such an invasion of my privacy. What next, DNA testing? Blood samples? How can the american public put up with this?...Sigh...

Go to the macromedia.com control panel page, scroll down and select "Global Storage Settings Panel".
Move the disk space slider to none. This will cause the flash player to always ask before storing information. Or you can uncheck the bottom box to disable local storage altogether.
Next, go to the fifth tab, and select "Delete all sites" to remove all information already stored.

Well, I doubt you're right about software. I'm sure there will be emulators available. The question will be whether there is any currently available hardware that will be able to read the ancient disks. An old dvdr probably won't fit into the slot of your standard 2.5 exabyte holocube reader.

You can use something simmilar to this now... just use software suspend 2 and save to a filesystem on a flash card in your pcmcia slot.

It's not a tough call at all. Objections on validly moral grounds should ultimately triumph.

The strangely fitting thing about piercing is that anyone willing to have metal pierced through their flesh in the name of fashion...
Deserives to have pieces of metal driven through their flesh for being such a fool.
Hey, sometimes the world can be strangely just.
