I'd say buy maybe 5-10 ideally indentical Pentium 3-ish computers, perhaps from ebay (look for local to avoid shipping fees) or from college surplus auctions (a geek gold mine). Get one setup to automate the process as much as possible and clone hd's.
Have at it. This can be done for much, much cheaper than you might think. I managed to get 12 PCs of this type for $50 at a surplus auction and I could have had about 10 more at around $2 a piece. You could be up and running in an afternoon ripping many cd's at once. Go down the line every 10 minutes or so while you hang out/read a book/watch tv and you'll be done in no time. Plus, when you're done you'll have all sorts of goodies to play with for other projects.
Previous Windows releases didn't force you to buy a new monitor.
Should be interesting.

What is so exciting about it? I can't find a single situation where it is better to use [Language X] than other programming languages. Why would anyone love [Language X]?
Every language has both strong and weak points. PHP is extremely easy to learn and works great for both web programming and simple command-line purposes. That is unless you are just trolling. (Why does PHP hate the internet?)
I'd take a look. Care to send some picts and your location for calculating shipping? I'd probably take anything quasi-recent (anything capable of running OS 8+ or so).

Might even have a few bucks for you on the side. Thanks
All things considered, I don't think it's that bad. Though I may be biased as I have registered similar types of domain names (lin*.com) for future use.
While "LindOS" would definitely be funny, I'm pretty sure it would land them right back in court. Michael is probably trying his best to get away at this point.
Naming products "Foobar Linux" is not especially appealing as product names can get very long very easily. I think the whole Lin* branding makes sense. So long as it doesn't turn into a gsomething/ksomething-type of thing.
Actually, we have already tried this... and it has failed miserably. Ever hear of.name? Nobody wants it. Similarly, United Kingdom residents have.me.uk, which has also been quite slow to catch on.
I realize it is a nice thought to have people/businesses/areas put into their correct namespaces but it will never work. People are only used to.com (and local country codes such as.co.uk, less so in the US) and don't want to change.
I doubt you'll get much opposition to your point but are you going to pay them? It's the same reason kids get involved in gangs and whatnot: boredom and lack of belonging/recognition.
Seriously Brits, that book wasn't meant to be used as a manual.
Instead of DRM hell, may I recommend Deep Discount DVD? They have the entire TOS for $138 on DVD. Seriously, that's a lot of tv for the price.
I have no connection to the company other than purchasing a set myself about a month ago.
It's a well known fact that TP causes violence. In a recent prison poll, 99.97% of serial killers have used TP at some point in their lives.
When will humanity learn.

Just be nice to your circuit breaker.
What did the compsci major say to the liberal arts major?
"Dude, shut up and give me a application already."

Seriously, on that note, Malt-o-Meal hot cereal. I've lost a keyboard that way. No better "wet cement" out there.
It happens but it is also very easy to simply block ip ranges from receiving ads... which also happens.
So sue me. ;)
Oh, I'm sure they did. PHB's all the way.
Broadband.
Yes.
Debatable.
I think you might be surprised how many nerds own pets or are at least considering getting one.
While I agree it isn't the most on-topic of articles, articles like this are cool once in a while.

Hardly a fair comparison then isn't it?
For the price you paid for that upgrade, you probably could have bought a new PC.
(Note: I still run a P3 500 as my main system, it works)
As an interesting sidenote, Konq (in Smart pop-up mode) does indeed block the pop-ups. I'm guessing Safari users would have a similar experience.
(You still see goatse and some nasty scat as well as the sound file. Yay...)

Maybe not 6-12+, but for a store like Wal-Mart, one or two people wouldn't hurt. That said, many Wal-Mart employees require that overtime to survive.
hmmm...

Easy problem to find, harder problem to solve.

Dear lord...
That may work until someone claims to be from anywhere but the US.
