A variation on one I have seen is daily logs which are signed, the signature and last ID are inserted in to the top of the next days logs. The signature and last ID were then published publicly (website, newsgroup, etc).
Altering old logs means that you have to alter all the sub-sequential logs as the signature changes, which obviously chains down the logs. As the signatures / ID's are public it becomes extremely unlikely to go undetected.
Obviously you could decrease the "rotate" interval.
You'd better make sure you read the license you agree to before you enter your pirated serial number...as if I was him, I'd sure as hell have a decent disclaimer about that.
I'll also wager that unless he a is a complete monkey (which is quite possible) the serial numbers will differ more than a few digits, so claiming "accident" would be bollocks.
I don't understand why he wouldn't just encrypt your home directory / random file...and you get it unlocked when you buy a legit license, got to be better than deleting it.
Anyway - I agree that its opening him self to being sued, how ever unsuccessful this may be.
Am I the only one wondering why, if what the police were doing was so undeserved, the crowd stood and watched - rather than calling more cops, or interviening.
I'm not upgrading to Core 2 - I've just fitted 2 x Opteron 270's from eBay for ~300 pounds. Should be pretty nippy and is cheaper than a new board and new chip, and should be quicker:P
They do a 8mbit package for business use, which is availible at home which is unlimited. They are also a bunch of massive geeks and theyre network is one of the best in the UK.
Think its about £80+VAT / mo - which is alot, but not split 4 ways.
From what I can find, the CDC (centre for disease control) states;
To date only
six documented cases of human survival from clinical rabies have been reported and each included a history of either pre- or postexposure prophylaxis.
Also of interest is another page with some more details about the "cure" they used on the 15 year old, the best bits are bellow;
Willoughby said he had not expected Giese to survive when she was admitted to the hospital. But he said he studied numerous cases of the disease, and a team of consultants, including CDC officials, decided within four hours to go ahead with the experimental treatment.
"I knew that this was a 100 percent fatal disease, so I knew there wasn't much we could do," Willoughby said.
Willoughby said he could not reveal the exact drugs that were used because medical protocol requires scientists first to publish the results in a medical journal. He said they were two anesthetic and two antiviral medications.
1997 - "Intel develops an asynchronous, Pentium-compatible test chip that run three times as fast, on half the power, as its synchronous equivalent. The device never makes it out of the lab."
With the same tires, my car would probably stay neck and neck with this thing up to about 30 MPH, but then my ability to accelerate starts being limited by horsepower instead of tire traction.
Assuming you had 4WD, traction control, and launch control (and it was all as good as that of a Veyron - which I doubt), you would have problems with 1) your clutch - doing a lauch with massive tires would probably cause it to slip if you had enough power or 2) stall the engine (if you had less power/good clutch), or 3) you would get too much grip and your engine would bog down, or 4) you would break a driveshaft
Basically, you've got no chance against a veyron, even to 30mph. The Veyron is designed to have 1000bhp (and rumoured to be capable of 1000kw) - and so would have less worry about these problems, your mitia or whatever was not designed for 0-30 runs with massive tires
a new copy is being made on the downloader's end that did not originate in Russia
But, they are encoding it on the fly (assuming they don't cache it, which they probably are) - the file could be deemed to have been moved to your pc - i.e. there is only one instance of it.
Hong Kong is still "sperate" from China - they still keep their laws etc. Hence why it's known as Hong Kong Special Administrative Repulic/Region. HKSAR.
I really like pressing esc then period - it gives you the last argument of the last command :)

I read about this on Stamper at http://www.itconsult.co.uk/stamper/stampinf.htm

How about if ad revenue was split between Valve, and the winning team?

I find it very odd coming from the UK:
We get passport checked, boarding pass checked and scanned by computer, at EVERY point along the way.
They even get us to remove our shoes these days.

Core 2 isnt the only option, its just a good one.

They've won the ISP of the year award in the UK for several years running.
I am on their 8mbit home, which has a 50gb cap. Which I hit most months on my own - so I will be upgrading soon to the above.
WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOOOOF WOOF
Babel fish;
ALL YOUR BASES ARE BELONG TO US
Just had a thought, my CV is already several pages long - might be a bit of a problem when I am 600 years old...
(taken from here, about half way down)

Dude, its in BETA. Its not ment to be for everyone yet. Its still in testing.
Also, how else do you think they will finance it? 1gb of email with no Ad's? Maybe they will release POP3, but with inserted ads, who knows.
Hotmail has ad's - but no one goes mad about that - surely you don't think those ads are not targeted???
This is the most useless website for a simple explaination of what this is for, or even what it is! Even the faq page doesn't make much sense.
Looks like his server has been tested slashdot style though!
:O
OMG!! Glad I can ship with insurance easily in the UK...
In soviet russia, the router sells YOU!!!
thats because they need a rebuild after 1 1/4mile and a burnout...not very practical...

4. Profit
Just what are you gonna see anyway? They work indoors don't they? Or do they really build all this secret stuff outside?

I see your first problem
1) Try removing Windows XP
