I too have experienced this, often accompanied by a profound sense of "this is where I am supposed to be".
My wife, who experiences the same, has a theory that when one experiences Deja Vu, one is in the right place doing the right thing according to a plan for one's life.
Of course to agree with that theory one must have some belief in fate.
Here's two cases where the nv driver cannot be used:
1. You want to use more than one monitor. This is much more common these days. 2. You want any kind of 3D acceleration. More applications are requiring this now - Google Earth, Celestia, Nexuiz, upcoming 3D desktops to name a few.
If computer science isn't about computers, what is it about? I haate that students coming out of universities, when asked about registers and how would they write a multiply routine if they only had shifts and adds, ask "why do I need to know this?"

Haven't you been keeping up? The second law has already been broken if you consider the 3.1 dimensional (spatial+time) space as the only source of matter and evergy.
This would suggest that as a result of hitting a couple of plates together there is now a tiny bit more energy in the physical universe than there was 50 years ago.
Uhhh - with ssh2 keys and no password all a hacker needs to do is gain access to your workstation and they've got your keys and can get into the servers. Do you really want debian.org to rely on the security of every single dev box out there?
With current mozilla/firefox builds if you SSH into a remote machine with X11 forwarding and invoke Firefox, a new LOCAL session starts up. Utterly useless for testing clients web browsers.
Of course if we relied on birth control, Stephen Hawking would most likely have had his brain sucked out by a small tube before he hit 24 weeks inside his mother.
My Zaurus lets you read in pitch dark, or broad daylight thanks to a reflective LCD display. The light isn't actually a backlight but is positioned off to one side and hits the LCD along one axis of the plane. Unlike many other LCD displays this one actually looks better in brightly-lit environments.
Perhaps I would have been better off saying "no light" in these new books.
So... you're saying cycling races are only interesting because of a major design flaw in upright bicycles, and that flaw must be preserved to keep the sport going?
Israel is not the weak little victim in this conflict.
You do realise that Islam (the predominant religion in the middle east) indirectly mandates that Israel must be completely wiped off the map, right?
I'd be defending myself too.
Jani is completely right to boycott a terrorist regime ...
Hezbollah, where can I enlist?
it [the ID movement] has precisely nothing to do with science...
That is true IFF you take science==evolution.
Unfortunately no other theories on species origins can every be considered scientific by that definition.
For proper objective science that actually looks at evidence without prejudice, ID is significantly more scientific than evolution.

Being based on the OpenGL Doom3 engine, has anyone tried the demo with Wine or Cedega?
How does it run?
It's the algorithm. It's straight complexity theory;
Not so.
That energy is only wasted if you have no desire to heat the room the console is in.
Otherwise you have a nice little heater with a COP equal to 1.
They'll probably wear copper vials of crude oil around their necks.

Could someone please, please, PLEASE rewrite yum in C or at least point me to a python compiler.
There's a time and a place for interpreted languages, and package managers isn't one of them.

Ah, so you're saying that if a specific paranormal event is observed, then we need to revise our definition of paranormal to exclude it?
Nintendo and the DS are demonstrating that it's innovation, not licenses or technology, that is selling software,
Pardon me if I ask you the simple question WHAT INNOVATION?
Apart from the provably false DS==Innovation axiom, what can anyone here provide to show Nintendo is innovating with this budget Mac look-alike?
And no, a strong fanboy base doesn't count either.
Not Japan;
New Zealand, one of the most pro-american countries in the south-south-west pacific.
And still the PS3 is outselling the XBox360 at a major store in my country.
That's right - people are already pre-ordering them in droves. And they're happily paying a lot more than $600 for the privelige.

A better solution: Use both.
Keys and passwords.
With current mozilla/firefox builds if you SSH into a remote machine with X11 forwarding and invoke Firefox, a new LOCAL session starts up. Utterly useless for testing clients web browsers.
This Vaio will suck.
Nintendo will Wiin the console wars.
Can I please have my mod points now?

How are you going to read in the dark then? :)

As a non-american, I'm just curious. What independence are you celebrating?
What is it that you gained independence from? Are you still independent of it today?
No Backlight?
DRM?
I think I'll stick with my zaurus, thanks.
A slight correction:
Pure Fun: Nintendo, Sony
FPS: PC
Action: Microsoft, Sony
RPG/Story: Sony

That's fine - who's for setting up a URCI?
