    If someone has their arm in the window or the door of my vehicle open I couldn't care less how they are dressed.

    Such a person might not be after the car, but maybe my stereo, CDs or just generally rooting around for anything else that looks worth stealing.

    I think you're breaking in. Unauthorized access is just that, regardless of intent.

    I don't know if depression is the right word, but I guess it's possible--when a working dog is kept from doing its "job" or getting exercise it could develop any of a whole range of problems.

    Putting a dog on antidepressants sounds like fixing a symptom rather than what's really wrong with the animal.

    Most of those interconnected parters are even MORE connected with local businesses.

    Being open at night would be counterproductive due to any local contacts being closed, that is why SOME local standard is needed.

    It's not as if a half-full filesystem as such is suspicious.

    Seems to me like the free space is made suspicious by the well-publicized fact that thanks to TrueCrypt, it could be another container with more goodies inside.

    I could easily see someone non-familiar with the software going "well why did you make this magic box bigger than it needs to be? And it says here you can hide stuff in the 'empty', so fess up"

    It blows my mind how many people are taken in by the "folksy goodnatured" vibe that oozes off of Bush (And lately, Palin) but it seems to work.

    I guess growing up in a small southern town makes it ring all the wrong bells to me. Instead of "down to earth and friendly" I hear "backwoods redneck"

    That strikes me as a little ridiculous.

    I like programming just fine, but I code all damn day, 5 days a week. Why should it count against me that my interests are varied such that when I get home, I want to do something else?

    There is a huge difference between the ipod/ipod touches and any other mp3 players, and these are good differences.

    sure there are differences, but if someone can't tell you what those differences even *are* then they have no basis for picking the ipod over any other mp3 player.

    This is small claims court. Does anyone even get subpoena'd for that? Also, keep in mind that rewards in civil court are notorious for being uncollectable.

    Haven't we heard from this guy before? It seems like lots of his problems with "the system" seem to be mostly geared around not understanding how the courts work, and possibly arguing with judges.

    zero real world benefit is extremely subjective. Consider the premium you avoid paying when you OC a graphics card to approximate performance of it's "big brother"

    Beside the point, but I think a substantial portion of people don't actually do research on any of the things you mentioned. "Well, Sony's a good brand right?" "Ford was always good enough for my dad" etc etc.
