    Do the zalman HSF systems depend on airflow through the case for cooling?

    What I mean is, if i put one in, am i also going to have to put new fans on my case itself to get ventilation to keep up with the zalman?

    I daresay its a hardwired psychological response to assume in your minds eye that a being is the same ethnic group as you are unless clues exist to the contrary...

    Do you really think anyone asks the people's opinion? And once its there then what? Much as i'd love to see the local super walmart leave, without the business it generates I have no doubt that between the jobs it supplies and the taxes it pays the town would dry up and die

    I'd rather have a stylesheet/extension for Moz that causes all the IE specific junk to be rendered properly. If there was such a thing, I'd have much greater success converting people (#1 complaint: My best friend's div based blog with drop shadows and javascript doesnt look right anymore!)

    I'm a guy...I have a ponytail (hair longer than most females)

    I can say that I have never. Ever. ever. noticed any discomfort while driving. Ms christiansen must do something like drive with her head plastered to the headrest, seems like that would be uncomfortable anyway...

    No. Please don't. Absolutely do NOT "Get a PhD and start teaching" unless you actually WANT to teach. Colleges and universities are already packed to the gills with professors with neither the skill nor the will to do a decent job of teaching, fresh PhD students who just want the classperiod to be over so they can get back to their research project.

    I can back this up. Between my college physics and chem classes, I heard at least a dozen times "We used to do this experiment, but it had lead/mercury/whatever in it and they wont let us anymore" ...Nevermind the instructor was doing in in the front of a lecture hall, and none of the students would be closer than 10 feet.

    Do you really absorb as much listening to something while you do other things as sitting down and reading? I have enough trouble getting it all to sink in and not skimming boring parts with a good ol' mass market paperback

    I applaud you for raising your children. Or maybe you just got lucky. If my brother and I were in the same car, and ONE of us didn't have a walkman/CD player (either so he woudlnt talk or i couldnt listen) there would be warfare.

    who cares? A-B isn't tagging your name onto the sixpacks, just recording what was bought and when, on a pretty fine grain level, then having sales reps come check out the demographics of the store. How is this an invasion of privacy again?

    Serious question.
    I have a set of eye conditions (farsightedness combined with astigmantism) that means my right eye is nearly totally dominant (that is, i "look" out of it primarily) And as a result, conventional (with glasses) 3d things dont work worth a damn for me, because i only see the blue side.

    It doesn't SEEM as if my eye dominance problem would make a difference, as with this setup you're not having to view and interpolate two streams of data, but I could be wrong.
    Opinions anyone more qualified tahn me?

    Same here. I flinch when they tick your fingertip for the hemoglobin test, but having the actual needle put in (assuming a competent nurse) is just a stick followed by a wierd sensation as the needle slides in.

    Actaully, after giving blood regularly for several years, I have a theory that most fears of needles come from the person's childhood when they were stuck by a newbie or flat out incompetent. I've had needles put in so nicely I didn't realize they were there, and i've had some (all for giving blood mind you) that hurt like bloody hell going in and out. The difference? The person putting them in did it different ways and with differing finesse.

    I have had DSL for years. In that time, storms have put my power lines down numerous times. Through all of that, which accumulated to a bout a week of blackout, i retained phone service (granted through mostly luck) once I managed to dig out a non-battery powered phone.
