Even if it's an add-on investment for your X-2. Some people (myself included) have some serious coin wrapped up in games and observing Sony's compatibility from one generation to the next will take a bite out of X-2 sales as current X-Box owners jump ship. I mean heck, if Sony's got a better product, my brand loyalty will go right out the window if I have to start from scratch purchasing all new games again.
I guess it's liberating from one perspective, since I won't be influenced by the money I spent on my existing games, but I might be biased against Microsoft for screwing me on backwards-compatibility too.
Technically a huricane is a pinwheel formation of thunderstorm cells which are composed of clouds that are made up of water vapor. It might have been more clear if the article had just stuck to the mass of water vapor the air is capable of suspending, but I guess I'm splitting hairs...
Why not introduce genre into game journalism? We've got it everywhere else. Can you imagine I-novel game journalism? Gonzo journalism? I certainly can, and it's damned exciting to think about.
Wow...you just blew my mind man. As if there weren't enough pseudo-intellectual pop culture crap already, you just took it up a notch.
It wasn't a Micropayment system like Paypal (at least not as I understood it) where a user could keep a set amount of money to make small transactions. It was a reward system for looking at advertising. Collect enough Beenz and you could "purchase" fabulous prizes. But unfortunately, it was like Camel Bucks or saving Betty Crocker points: you had to have a gajillion Beenz before you could buy even the smallest item.
What length WILL M$ go to in order to preserve their market share?
Somebody should test this and put in the contract that Bill has to do dishes or clean toilets at the company for a month. Then we'll REALLY see to what lengths they'll go...
Ah...I see. That way I can get baraged with a greater breadth of crap. You know, eventually, we could just start posting every story that appears on msn.com.
The point is that I do not disagree with you. Slashdot is an aggregation site, BUT, as noted in my original email the aggregation capabilities are not granular enough to keep Buffy out, but other TV news stories in.
Posting is cheap. I guess that Slashdot would be better if people with dissenting viewpoints didn't post at all? That way the editors will keep posting the same crap assuming that everyone thinks its great.
Somebody's modding me up, guess I must not be the only nerd that feels that way.
These guys remind me of a professor I had in college a couple of years ago that kept two PDP-11's in his office and one at home. He worshipped them. Best hardware ever, he would say.
He was also the same guy that had 365 pairs of pants and 365 shirts and did laundry once a year so maybe that should have shed a little light on his mental state.

Did anybody see anything about US availability? Looks like it is being released about every place but here.
In other exciting news, cell phones now have color screens. Isn't technology grand?!?!
At what point are M$ patches no longer news?
Just wondering...
There are patch releases all the time. We all know it's bad, M$ sucks...blah blah blah di blah...

the minute he said it was the most important book ever written on any subject...ever.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhhhhhttttt....
Clearly, someone has spent too much time living in his mother's basement.

Hard to point the finger at yourself, isn't it Motion Picture Industry?
if I want to sell some mana in real life?
Stock is down 11.25% on the day as I type this. Probably just reactionary, but still...
Too bad, so sad.
I am an insensitive clod.
It'll still add and subtract right?
"The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale."
Oh well...
The problem with Beenz was that it just sucked.

I pay $45/month for 128k DSL...
:(
And I'm feeling lucky to have that since I'm in a rural area. *sigh*
Wish I could speak Japanese...
Wow! Somebody got up on the wrong side of bed. :^)
Competant...
Compentant admins have systems that are harder to hack - a distinction that is important to make.
That is all.
Sounds like ageism might not be the only problem this hiring manager has...
Grammar good...FIRE BAD!!!!
Toodle pip.
Would you like fries with that?

I just wish that Buffy had its own topic like Anime so I could remove it from my news... =(
