I have been doing an undergraduate (i'm not saying I know a lot about it!! ^_^) reading course on quantum computing and an interesting topic that came up is the ability to encode qubits that could potentially be unencryptable. I'm also interested in Shor's algorithm, and the ability of fast factorization of large numbers by quantum computers.
Anyway, I was wondering if you are researching quantum computing and what your thoughts are on this subject.
Ah yes.. If you go off one end of the screen, you'll end up on the other.. Eat the bigger pill and you can defeat the ghosts.. Mushrooms make you grow bigger.. Women can jump over people and shoot perfectly with two guns.. There are always alligators in pits.. Am I missing anything?
He can code large masses of programs with a single keystroke, Absorb boxes of pizza with nary a thought, never shaves for days on end! It's... Internet boy!.. Genetically modified so that... oh.. wait.. we already have people like that...
Honestly, can't someone get it into their head that if it's in a movie theatre, any joe blow could figure out that it's a movie that they're watching? Is the second title "The Movie" really needed? Sheesh.
ehh.. I just found out you have to purchase the article.. what a frikken waste of time. Don't bother signing up in hopes of getting the paper for free! >=(
no the US is going to figure out what killed seven of our astronoughts before we kill any more
I don't think the accident is going to prevent nasa from sending *unmanned* flights into space... And besides, haven't they already figured out what caused the failure?
Isn't the question now not what killed them, but what they can do to prevent anything like that in the future? Or how to fix the ailing space shuttle program? Or whether we should send any astronauts into space at all until we have a viable means of transportation to get them there?
Here is a better page with a link to the actual paper, and here is another one
To actually get the published paper, it requires free registration though...
I know that the cdrom is external, but what I want to know is what is the battery life? Where is the specs for the battery life? Are there any reviews yet? Has anybody even tried it yet?
Pretty cool with the customization aspect.. Is there any programmers out there who have some real experience? This is pretty interesting to me, and I wouldn't mind hearing some feedback and maybe links or something. =)
In contrast, MS Visual Studio.NET costs up to $3000
That's funny, because as a computer science student at my university, I can get.net studio absolutely FREE. Full edition, no pirating.. It's some sort of deal Microsoft worked out with my CSc dep't... That doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy an iBook or PowerMac though...
1) Most anime is geared toward otaku fanboys and really don't have much of a story that will pull in a whole family of viewers (which is the category that claims most "Best Picture" awards.);
it's more like otaku fanboys are more geared towards anime. You do realize that there is a whole other country out there that watches anime regularly, right?
(3) Since all the anime characters look roughly the same, it can be argued by Hollywood that all the stories are the same as well...problematic at best;
I don't even know how anyone can make that leap of assumption. There are MANY different styles of anime, by many different artists. It doesn't take much effort to find radically different styles in animes, and besides, even if they do have a similar look, a space epic is not the same as a drama.
(2) Anime isn't American, like it or not most "Best Picture" winners are from Hollywood, not outside the US;
Unfortunately, that is true. It shouldn't matter, but it does.
(4) Bad translations: Nobody should have to learn another language to "understand" or "get it." (For the record, this is a problem with other languages like French and German or Russian as well, it's not a Japanese problem. As proof, take a look at the glowing reviews of movies like "Chloe in the Afternoon" [France] by following this link http://us.imdb.com/Title?0068205, and then watch it yourself and see if this isn't a crap-fest [it is]. Or examine the differences in the dialog of "Akira," for example.)
This is the problem of the releasing studio in the U.S. It doesn't always turn out that way, but most of the companies state-side realize that Otaku fanboys are pretty consumerist. Just release a cartoon and draw big eyes on them and there will be quite a few who buy it just for the fact of being able to say that they have seen it. It's like some perverse holy grail, to own all anime ever released..?
does anyone remember some people's theory that we never actually went into space or orbitted or anything? and that it was all an elaborate hoax by NASA and the U.S. Government? I wonder what they think of this...? I mean, it's pretty irrefutable that this stuff came hurtling in from space.
Reasons cited for supporting entitlement cards included "were to address fraud", "to enhance control of illegal immigration", and -- in SchlumbergerSema's words -- "a general view that making it easier to identify individuals was a good thing."
We must all be wary of such technology. This could be a dangerous thing depending upon how it's implemented. For instance, if it was used as a way of tracking you and making sure that advertising is beamed directly into your ear or eyes then this would be VERY BAD. Privacy is a fundamental part of our rights and should NEVER be trod upon. If this was ever implemented I would want to make sure that it would never encroach upon my rights of anonymnity.
Actually, if memory serves me correctly, they only found a lot of human DNA and no corpses. I think the sick bastard killed the prostitutes and then fed them to his pigs or something. Makes you wonder what your local farmers are actually feeding their cows and pigs, eh?
The money, the alcohol, the women, the secret enemy fortresses, oh wait, I'm thinking of James Bond...
;)
Any case modder I know doesn't really have a life, other than Lan Parties.
Sounds like a lair built for nefarious troublemakers like Doctor Evil !! Yeah babY!
In 2013, the internet will be too bogged down by spam and porn!
Ahh nevermind that last post.. everyone else is asking the same thing!! (I guess I'm just too excited about quantum computing! haha)

Rumor is that it was cancelled by the Wachowski brothers in hopes of coming out with a Super Collectors Special Edition later
Sheesh, first the Animatrix, now this!
Super Collectors Special Edition? Why not just call it "Supa Mega Nova Haipa Pawa Burasto DVD"??

Holographic data storage!!!
Yes, in the future, we will all have quantum computers with holographic data storage devices, communicating to us through 3d monitors!

But I didn't know and that means there is probably a bunch of others out there too..:
Qt is a multiplatform, C++ application development framework. One source runs natively on Windows, Unix/Linux, Mac 0S X, and embedded systems.
Go here for a brief overview from Trolltech.

the best card your money can buy today
Shouldn't that say ALL of your money? Video cards nowadays are BLODDY expensive!

I dunno.. I never turn off my computer... Does anyone else? Why would I need the other parts of this sony viao if I never turn it off?
