    Filesize. These files are going to be most likely smaller than the avergage mp3/ogg file. But any automated attack software will have use a filename in order to be work. See how the trap works now? A human would know *NOT* to download these files. Attack software wouldn't have a choice.

    There is another use for this. This tatic can be setup and used as bait in order to track down the outfits that the RIAA and MPAA hire to try and disrupt P2P networks. Once these outfits set off these "booby-traps" give the info to the script kiddies and let them do their thing.

    No, they're not. They are preventing attacks from a well-known source of Script Kiddie Hacker attacks. Pretty much everybody involed with the hacking scene knows that a large number of recent DOS attacks have originated from RIAA.org.

My brother-in-law who lives in VA buys RedHat cdroms from CheapBytes which is in CA and gets them *IN ONE OR TWO DAYS* when he tells CheapBytes to mail the cdroms to him using Priority Mail.

    No it won't. Why? Basically because of Word-Of-Mouth. The vast,vast majority of the console market is composed of people who *DON'T* like or play games like DOOM3. If the PS2 and GameCube owners aren't interested in DOOM3 they aren't going to be recomending that anyone buy a XBox for it. You see, nobody is going tell their friends and family to buy something they don't care about,and the console market basically doesn't care about the Xbox or it's games.

    If you recall, NASA's GEMINI program showed/proved that a lot of what the space/rocket scientists thought was wrong in a lot of cases. It showed that the best way to do something is to actually try doing something and learn from your mistakes. GEMINI's space walking missions was a perfect example of this.

Of course he/she doesn't want to see the Linux community developing their own fonts and other things that's along similar lines. Don't get fooled by these people. This person is most likekly the font world version of a cripple/shareware author.

    Quite frankly people like you *NEED* to be driven away. It's one of the big mistakes the Amiga userbase made. By not driving away people like you, they let you turn the Amiga into a dead-end video editor which pretty much drive away everybody who wasn't interested in video editing.

    It's not, and you are either a fool or a idiot if you think the Xbox is. The Xbox has a market niche similar to what the Amiga has. It'll never really pose a threat to either the PS2 or the GameCube basically because the PS2 and GameCube market is different from the Xbox market. You PC gamers will never come to terms with this it sems like.

    Why would Sony do that? Games like Doom aren't all that popular among PS2 owners. Want proof? Take a look at any list of top-selling games for the PS2 and you'll won't find a FPSish game like DOOM III among the top ranked PS2 games in terms of sales. If anything the PS/PS2 ports of DOOM/UC was done so the ID would attract the attention of the PS2 market not the other way around. After all the average PS2 owner doesn't know or care who John Carmack is. ID games aren't that big of a deal in the PS2 market.

Khan then proceeds to blow Picard and the Enterprise Whatever out of space, and then does the same with Starfleet,Klingons,Romulans and anyone stupid enough to get in his way,all the while screaming "YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME,KIRK!!!"
