    is taken into account already. It can be the difference between manslaughter and murder or degrees of murder. Killing a guy to take his money is treated differently than killing a guy because he was banging your wife. Both are crimes but the former will garner a harsher sentence.

    I'd also argue that someone who committed a crime because the victim was a member of a certain group is more likely to reoffend than someone who committed a crime over a personal dispute with the victim. If you have a grudge against someone, there's only person. if you have a grudge against an entire race, there's a lot more opportunities for you to lose control again.

    Wario Ware has a micro-game where you're holding a sword and have to defend against an attacker. The gameplay is obviously very very simple but the sword movement seems to match the actual remote movement pretty well.

    My courthouse hasn't been in a city that's been in a constant state of war for the past 4 years.

    Between the initial invasion and the on-going fighting, I bet a lot changes fairly quickly.

    You're misunderstanding who the user of Google is. Don't worry. Most slashdotters make this mistake.

    *You* are not the user of Google - You're the *product* sold by Google. The real users are the websites that are advertised by Google.

    I don't know what % of the *on-line advertising market* Google controls, but if an anti-trust case were to be made (ie: advertisers have to play by Google's unfair rules in order to have an on-line presense), it'd be through that angle, not by allegedly controlling the "on-line search" market.

No one's expecting people to type Mike McGavick and have something other than his campaign home page turn up as the top result. They're expecting people to type Mike McGavick and see "McGavick misstated details of DUI arrest" in the first page of results, maybe one or two links below his campaign website.
