you are correct, but a well-implimented id3v2 library does not have this problem. even if your current tag needs only 50 bytes, it is recommended that the tag be 512 or 1024 bytes. the 50 you need is used, the rest is NULL. this is recommended so that adding new tags (say an image or lyrics) has a chance of not needing to rewrite the entire file.

if linux, os x or win98 are easier to install , please feel free to do so. you sound like one of those people who don't know how to maintain a system anyway, so when your linux install fucks up, we can hear you complain about that instead of windows (for a change).

"thank you dell and microsoft for fucking my weekend". let me ask this - what did you do to fuck things up in the first place? are you aware that you should not attempt to "install your laptop" into your anus? although, i guess it did not explicetly state this in the instruction manual, so it's someone else's fault.

as of now, amazon claims to have collected $2,120,581.09. the us federal government pledged $35 million while the entire eu pledged $4 million. overall, nations pledged "at least $102 million" (see first link). amazon alone has collected over 50% of the eu's pledge and 2% of total aid pledged by all nations. i wonder what the red cross has collected (without amazon), as well as unicef, cidi, etc. i imagine that compared to the $102 million, private collections are NOT insignificant.

if you think that immediate response is insignificant compared to long term initiatives, then you are insane. while long term initiatives are important, people eating TODAY is more important than any long term aid. if you disagree, i challenge you to live out of a destroyed mud hut, drink dirty water and eat only what you find on the side of the road knowing that in a few weeks/months/years things may be better. see how much consilation that is...

    2) mining colony example: the second law was not modified. rather, it was not balanced with the other laws appropriatly. the third law was weighed too heavily in relation to the second law, which in turn was not balanced properly with the first law. the effect of these imbalances was the apparent removal of the phrase "or through inaction" in one particular instance.

    3) scinetific research station: the first law had been modified to allow short term exposure to certain types of radiation which are not harmful in small doses. however, unless the robot knew that a certain type of radiation fell within this category, he would assume the worst and not allow the human to enter the radiation field.
