I have credible sources telling me that Duke Nukem Forever itself will be written in PHP6. It will take as long to start up the game as it did to develop it.
They will probably be the only thing that his officemates will ENJOY taking down after the holidays. That is, after they lock him up and make him listen to Christmas Carols changing rapidly for 10 days straight.
Exactly how much pr0n could you fit onto a Ti89 calc? I mean, the graphics on that calc are good, but not THAT good. I'd need at least a 256-color monitor to take advan.... umm.... I mean who would want to look at pr0n when there is much gaming to be done! Yeah, that's it! damn...
We need only look to their past business practices to answer this question. Since when has Microsoft done anything right the first time? Numerous bugs existed when Windows 95/98/Me came out the first time (many still do exist). Things will only get better when they realize that they must THINK before they do something. You'd figure that with all the money that they have that they would be able to impliment enough web servers to take the hits. Guess not.
...Compaq isn't involved in your home system you should be ok. I have wasted many hours working on Compaq systems because of drivers that do not work correctly, and because of a poor driver and component listing on their website.
I cannot stress enough that if you are planning to make a high-end entertainment system, make sure that you have a PC that can handle the task. And if for some reason you are using a Compaq, be sure to check the support site for updates (since they can never get anything right the first time, or the second...), and always buy upgrade components that can be returned.
I believe that if these companies can get enough support from he customer market, that both will be viable standards in the future. I like the idea of being able to move around the country while not having to worry about switching between channels. This will probably be a major selling point for sat. radio, and barring any major outages, should keep the customer happy.
Perhaps an easy way to get videogaming into the mainstream media is to have more frequent, local tournaments that are actually advertised. A few massive LANs would be great for tournaments too(They don't call me Kronik Gamer for nothing). Someone needs to set up a website dedicated to setting up these kinds of tournaments, and then advertise to the many gaming websites on the net. That would be a good start!
Sure, this device may not seem that useful now, but in the future (if developers find that it is a viable open source platform)it may be useful for students and scientists in the future. If someone wanted to write a special program to say, calculate the materials required to hold a certain mass on a bridge, they could just port it to the PDA and not worry about lugging around a laptop or waiting to use their PC back at the office if they needed this kind of information in the field.
This is just one example, but I am sure that many of you already have apps that you would like to port to a PDA.
Better watch out, Microsoft will probably charge each user $49 dollars to open this Pandora's box, since they currently have no software that supports it.
Awesome, now I can watch someone try to organize a class action lawsuit against Apple because they claim that the iPhone gave them herpes.
*grabs popcorn*
You must be... Oh wait.

Hopefully they will provide better software support than they do with their VPN clients.
Still no Windows 64-bit support for their IPSEC client... very annoying to have to run a virtual machine to connect to a Cisco VPN.
Oh sending snakes on a shuttle with Samuel L. Jackson...
Sure, why not? Maybe we can get listed on one of those Top 10 DOS charts. We'll fit nicely between buffer overflows and injection flaws.

I really didn't like Babylon 5 that much, I just couldn't get into it. Star Trek has always been my favorite Sci-Fi series.
This should prove to be a good series, tailored towards fans of Babylon 5 and the like. First post!
