  1. Re:Why I Used My PDA and Why I Stopped on Do People Really Use Their PDAs? · · Score: 2
It started taking too long to sync Outlook to my Palm which sucked since I used to do it at the end of the workday and waiting 10 - 30 minutes for it to finish syncing wore on my patience.

Sounds like you have some serious problems there. It should never take that long to sync unless you create a MB's worth of new data each day.
I have a Vx on a serial connection, and it only take 10 secs to sync. Only ever goes in the 10-30 min range if I'm installing stuff counted in MBs.

    • Do a soft-reset.
    • Check connection speed setting, make sure it's correct (might be set slow, or too fast).
    • Dissable all hacks.
    • Take note of what it says on the screen of the PDA when doing a hotsync, might give some clue if there is one app that causing it.
    • Make sure you not using some really old version of hotsync.
    • Search google usernet archives.
If all of that fails, back up all you data, and do a hard-reset. While you there, re-install all the sync software. In other words, wipe the slate clean as possible.
Fotunatly, I have never needed to do this. But it should solve the problem 99% of the time.
