  1. GeForce 6800 Ultra on Will Next-Gen Consoles Kill Off PC Gaming? · · Score: 1

The GeForce 6800 Ultra I've been sporting since last year has served me QUITE well... I've been "ooohing" and "ahhhing" at all the eye-candy. However, it has it's limits.

With this much computing power, the limits of visual stimuli can only go as far as what the developers put into their games. I can run at 200 fps, but if the graphics engine sucks, I'll only have a nicely rendered game of Pong.

But if you're into OC'ing, use RivaTuner as mentioned here: http://hardware.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/05/ 25/2222212&threshold=-1&tid=152&tid=137

When wattage is spiking that high, I'd rather use the AMD processor solely because of the ever-increasing demand and cost of electricity. So not only are they cost-efficient and energy-efficient, but they're also faster and more durable. In the past 4 years, I've burned up (plugged it in, turned it on) a handful of Intel chips just because they were defective (purchased at various stores) and lost 1 AMD to a direct lightning strike.

If I had to pick a chip other than Intel and AMDs weren't available as an option, I'd pick a Frito. Chances are I'd get more done, be better entertained and if it starts crashing, I can simply eat it and replace it with another. At $1.49 (US) per bag, it's highly cost efficient!

Thank you! Finally, someone who knows what the hell they're talking about. I'd rather stop the illegals from snatching up REAL licenses and hitting my damned truck. Texas is funny too... because here, you don't need insurance to get a license, but they require you to have insurance if you're going to use the license to operate a motor vehicle. And if you're arguement is, "what if I buy a license and don't use it?" you're an idiot. What else did you think Renaldo was going to do with his new state-issued photo ID? Pick the gum from the tread of his shoes? Use it to apply plaster to his wall? Perhaps, slice a pizza?

The main reason Real ID is going into effect is so the feds can more closely watch what the states have NOT been doing for years - stopping illegal IDs and documents. By requiring citizenship, the feds can tighten the requirements on getting a Real ID. Anyone else who doesn't have business here, deported! See ya.

Texas and all other border states known as "Mexico-touchers" by the Canadians, are suffering from illegals hopping the fence, destroying citizens' homes, property, begging for supplies from Americans to further their ILLEGAL journies into OUR COUNTRY, and what do we have to show for it? Higher insurance rates, loss of employment, and less money we have to put clothes on the backs of our children and a warm meal in their stomachs. We need to stand up against the illegals and let them know this is OUR country, NOT theirs!

As for holding your final paycheck, that's bullshit. I don't know what state you live in, but my state law requires an employer to pay an employee within 10 days of the end of the work week. If your boss is serious about retaining your final check, I'd seek legal advice - there could be more money in it for you than you think! *wink*

I once had a coworker who decided to leave a job on a bad note. He got into an involved arguement with the boss (a guy) in his boss' office (door closed). From what we heard outside, he was using severe profanity involving his boss, his boss' wife, and a goat, but ended up with my coworker showing his boss exactly "what he was bringing to the party".
