Yeah, and when I'm on a train or am the PASSENGER in a car, what good is that?
Then again, on the train, i wish people would shut the **** up!
right, but does it weigh 6.5 ounces? is it the size of a deck of cards? is it firewire? Can i use it to boot my mac? does it have a game of breakout as an easter egg?
no?
then it's not better suited for what the ipod is suited for.
a few months ago a friend on a message board made some comment about what he did in high school was hang out in the proving grounds of the mad overlord and it blew my mind cuz i hadn't thought of wizardry in a really long time and all these memories flooded back....
I just bought a dreamcast a couple weeks ago and love it.
I've spent about $300 so far and have got:
a new dreamcast
a 1 year warrenty
an extra controller
two visual memory units
street fighter alpha 3
soul caliber
chu chu rocket
marvel vs. capcom
shenmue
space channel 5
sonic adventure
resident evil: Code Name veronica
crazy taxi
jet grind radio
And i bought most of these at retail price.
now, while I am looking forward to my roommate getting the Gamecube for X-Mas, the dreamcast is just too good (and cost effective) to ignore!
(And Halo will play on my Mac sometime next year, i can wait.)
Bruce never says that in Evil Dead 2. I've seen ED 2 so many times that I never have to see it again, and I am 100% certain that line only appears in They Live, which I own on DVD, and is a really great campy flick.
I really hate this kind of thinking. Why do people always assume that really creative people use drugs to get their creativity?
Clive Barker doesn't use any mind altering substances and he writes the freakest shit. David Cronenburg isn't exactly who you think of as a drug user, but his imagination is like no other.
Even rampant drug users like Richard D. James (aphex twin) says that he doesn't create while high because it all comes out like garbage.
Creativity is often best served by a clear head.
however, the boxer's question is really important.:)

UH, no.
When marathon 1 came out, it had true 2.5D unlike Doom.
You could have a room directly above another room in Marathon, which you could not in Doom.
I've played the entire way through both the marathon trilogy and Doom 1 & 2, as they all came out... and Marathon was WAY better.
I found the marathon trilogy's replay value waaaay higher than doom's.
The fact that I've beaten all three games on the highest difficulty rating when in general i suck at video games is an indication of the hundreds of hours I tossed at marathon. I've even vidmastered some levels!
i was a Comp. Sci student at NJIT till I realized I wasn't motivated enough, and switched to the "Science, Technology, & Society" program, which focused on policy decisions and environmental science/politics/philosophy.
I loved it, and was very passionate about politics and philosophy, but finishing my senior project left me drained and confused...
So now I work at an dot com, and wish I had a CS degree.
I'm a die hard Jet Li fan. I regularly import dvds directly from Hong Kong, and have watched over 18 Jet Li films, in the original language when possible. (The english dub of Fist of Legend changes some of the best dialog into crap!)
The One was better than Romeo Must Die, but I liked Kiss of the Dragon and Black Mask more.
The special effects were really cool, and the Li vs. Li fight at the end was a joy, but Jet's acting was uncharacteristically bad. He's a great, charismatic guy in his films from Hong Kong, and I was bummed that this film felt rushed.
Anyhow, I had a really great time watching this flick, and will probably eventually get a dvd of it, if only to complete my jet li collection.
fyi, great jet li films are:
"serious film"
Once Upon A Time In China 1 & 2
Fist of Legend
"goofy films"
Swordsman 2
New Legend of Shaolin
The Legend of Fong Sai Yuk

Um, you've offered no proof at all.
I would ask that you seek reason out, learn how to think clearly, and watch as you realize that you sound pretty silly.
i'll take eternal death over a god that requires me to believe in him without proof.
Yeah, and God did what to prevent the WTC from being destroyed?
Where can I get one of these "Karma caps"?
Do they come in various sizes, or just one-size-fits-all?

Marathon predates Quake by a few years.
I was playing the beta of Marathon in 94 at the latest.
Marathon was a killer app that drove sales of the first generation of PPC macintoshes. No shit.
Pathways to Darkness, also by Bungie, was around circa Wolfenstein.
Don't forget that Marathon, from Bungie, was true 2.5 D unlike Doom.
You could have rooms directly on top of each other, which you could NOT have in Doom.
Marathon was released in late 94. The other nice thing about Marathon was it's plot, which was extremely deep and exciting.

Oh great, now this been marked Troll... good one.
Mac World?
cool magazine, fun convention.
Perhaps you meant McWorld?
Could someone explain how my post, which was the FIRST POST, could be REDUNDANT!
Thanks moderators.
http://www.apple.com/trailers/
You don't want Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3?
you don't want Resident Evil special editions? (A system exclusive at that!)
You have no interest in a new Metroid, Zelda, or Mario game?
Oh, I see, you're just a troll.
can i get a HELL YEAH!
pointless post really, but "i agree"
Is "Attack of the Clones" any less cheesy than "Empire Strikes Back"? Or "The Phantom Menace"?
At first, The Phantom Menace sounded silly to me, but now it works. He's intentionally evoking the feel of old serials.
(Not that I liked Ep 1, it was so bad, it hurt.)
Anyhow, "Attack of the Clones" sounds good enough to me.
Zom-beOS?
