How often you have done that in the past decade is directly proportional to your income. It takes a very dynamic company to repeat this cycle internally for a given IT techie...admins it is difficult. Programmers less so, I saw on organization that purposely shifted people around between functional groups to keep the challenges and ideas fresh. I thought that was smart nerd herding.
Cunt is not an appropriate word to use...but the AC using "faggot" to disapprove of someones post....would be considered a cunt most certainly in the UK.
Thoughts?

I agree....key is to control the illusion...I make lunch last at least 7 hours out of the work day...sometimes longer, though, I'm not really sure how long exactly...hard to quantify an illusion you know.
while I ate lunch with them...I stopped.
That was about the time the Iraq war started. IT in Wisconsin went right with the rest of folks and everyday it became a diatribe against "liberals", "taxes" and "guns"...they did it just to drive me away from eating lunch with them. It worked. I have eaten at my desk ever since. I wanted to crack jokes and talk about technology and goofy junk....they wanted to tell me what was wrong with people like me and how we were ruining the country.
nice.
All going to the same places and adding a few in between as they went...then meeting other salesman on the route and each exchange new locations....by the time all the salesman return to the home office all new data would be synced at the bar over stingers.
Most people who live in rural areas work in and around agriculture and businesses that support that industry. I grew up in a totally rural state. People did not choose to live there to avoid paying for services....those that did lived in trailer houses with tin foil lined interiors at the ends of two track roads with no electricity....they were CRAAAAZZZZIEESSS...
AIX's SMIT was pretty cool back in the day. You could do most things via a GUI but save your commands to use in shell scripts to automate routine tasks outside of the GUI.
MS-SQL DBA admin tools as well as Oracle Enterprise Manager all give the ability to generate scripts of GUI action....
My OM-1 is in my camera bag...meter still works. I shot a couple rolls five years ago. I got it for Graduation in 1980.

I shot kodachrome long ago and loved it. It was all good.
Now I snap with a iphone, Hipstamatic and Owle Bubo...and have no photo albums anymore...no slide shows...just a facebook of irreverent pictures from a disillusioned middle aged thing.
I will miss Kodachrome. Sort of like I miss loved ones that have passed away. Fond memories...and then move on.
Without color this device simply will not attract the "note takers"..." who is the biggest market segment of "note takers" who adopt new devices quickly?
College students. Ever seen a young person react to monochrome display...?? "Yucky" pretty much sums it up.
I think it is important to realize that tablet devices are going move quickly beyond the static brick...flexible displays will allow a thin device that has all the characteristics and user experience of a magazine with moving pictures and internet access. Text books, magazines, video, personal apps, media...will all converge...onto one device. Even note taking...
Why would anyone make a device that dumps itself into a tiny niche market?? The real driving factor that people seem to miss is content. What kind of content does a person want monochrome displays for? Mass Media market content is in color. Digital content cannot be free any longer and the publisher's are all lining up to make sure of it. Mark these words:
Publisher's are working very hard to reduce the largest expense they have....an expense that drives advertising costs sky high. Printing and paper. Drastically reduce those two things and make money distributing content to mobile multi-function devices...is where publisher's are all going.
With the 42" flat panel in the backseat of his candy apple red Cutlass with the 21" spinners and 2000 watt subwoofer....crazy thing plays music videos going down the street...and crumbles buildings as it goes by...lol

What a great way to trash a recording.
In Wolfenstein ET has to pay a licensing fee....
