  11. Huge Problems on Becoming Agile · · Score: 1

When companies move to agile style of programming (I call it Git'er done) they immediately see benefit with the speedy deployment of apps and processes. Roll the camera forward three to five years the failure to include data cleanup, loopback and redesign methods for "shortcuts and workarounds" becomes crippling. Apps that are implemented result of "git'r done agility" result in a cross platform spider-web of dependencies that is unstable and needlessly tied to one another. The entire business becomes trapped up in a giant ball of code that is unraveling in multiple places.

In the real world there is no discipline in undisciplined programming methods and deployment.

  18. The device will rule. on Apple Seeks Patent On Operating System Advertising · · Score: 1

Traditional media advertising and our consumer based economy are joined at the hip. Content creators are looking for other ways to generate content and the way it looks is that the infrastructure that delivers the media will be the new "publishers" of content. Think of it like the display computers inside TV's, digital television services and telesmartphones will drive content creation rather than the networks and publishers. Because...that is who will have the money and that is where the point of contact is. Content creators will battle and be paid directly by apple to provide exclusive content. For advertisers it will be way cheaper to buy ads that display on a TV that displays hundreds of channels. Than buying ad space for hundreds of channels.

When the device trumps the content for advertising delivery you can kiss goodbye traditional media like network TV and print. Device makers with proprietary operating systems will own the white space. They will buy the content. They will discount the device in lieu of more advertising.

Content will be on-demand and/or subscription based. This I think will be a boon for creativity as the stranglehold mainstream media has on culture and content will finally be relinquished when they no longer have any advertisers to help create quality programming and content.

  25. Female Male performance parity on How To Prove Someone Is Female? · · Score: 1

The performance of female athletes has been on a exponential increase for some time and is expected to catch male performance levels in many sports in the next century.

Part of the reason why is because many countries stopped enslaving all females for procreation, sex and domestic maintenance. So girls can play like boys now. Woman can become athletes rather birthing children until they are empty worn out husks

African continent still has lots of issues facing women's equality but some barriers have been lifted and we will see more than one gifted unique athlete come out of the woodwork.

Someday...there probably will no longer be the need for gender categorizations for some elite sports.
