We've got about 12 million dollars to the peak of the effect. We don't know when it would start, or increase enough to start having an effect.
Dollars?:)
Also, current FC uses yumupdatesd. However, if you are running stock Fedora, you are not running MadWifi, as Fedora will not distribute it due to licensing issues, AFAIK. You only need MadWifi if you have an Atheros-based NIC (there's an exhaustive list at madwifi.org). If not, don't worry about it.
Disclaimer: Fedora maintainer and madwifi user.
Agreed. There's a minor segfault bug with the current FC6 rpm, but I expect it'll get worked out soo, and it only affects low-memory machines.
Plus, yum makes running your own local repo dead simple. Given my bandwidth, and the fact that I run several machines, I really appreciate that.
All he did was buy a 10-ft strip of a property adjacent to his new house to expand his yard. The seller happened to be an individual under indictment, but as I understand the price was near-market, so there's nothing untoward about the transaction. Still, he regrets it, which serves only to emphasize his integrity.
To split hairs, bits are not solely abstract. They are primarily so, to be sure, but they are physically measurable in all their forms. Disk? Patterns of magnetism. RAM? Transistor state. Network? Current state. Fiber? Photon patterns. Paper? ASCII text or images.
As such, I think SI ought to apply.
Or, try a current distro. On Fedora Core 5, running GnuCash is as complicated as "yum install gnucash". WINE requires mastery of "yum install wine". It's highly technical, so be sure to have a trained professional nearby in case you have problems. (rolls eyes)
I'm sure I'm not the only one who immediately thought of this, am I?
I'd have chosen something else, even at the risk of it sounding ridiculous.
Like one of my projects, for example.
Not going to work. Some people legitimately need to run an email server. That's why I use Speakeasy, because I have complete freedom. That said, pushing the freedom all the way to the end user also pushes the onus for security to the end user, but that's where it should be anyway. I'm not sacrificing freedom for "security". (sound familiar?:))
I use agents on the few where it's really critical that I be alerted to adverse conditions, say, low disk space, high load, etc. The rest I can jsut check TCP services and be done with it.

Nolars? Are those neeth? :)
The beginning of a collision between two spiral or MAYYYYYYBE elliptical galaxies. Very cool.
No. No. No. No. No. Not a good idea. The potential for misuse is astounding, and the potential benefit is miniscule.

. . .does it run on Emacs?
Oh, man, though. Two words: Argen tina. Some of the best red you'll ever have. Malbec. $6 a bottle. OMFG is it good with a nicely done steak.
No, no, not Heart, Earth, Wind and Fire! :)

I live in that district too. What town are you referring to?

I would have gone with something like Sensible Management Of Overhead Calms Headaches, or SMOOCH. ;)

I dunno. . .it was *sorta* what I thought! ;)
I'm curious to try it out. Anyone have screenshots of the new GTK2-y goodness?
Ahh, I see you've never actually *run* Linux.
