So, you won the good parent lottery and so did your children, congratulation!
I'm fiscally conservative, socially liberal and I don't see any way that providing a single payer system would NOT save us as a country a TON of money.
The constitution probably would have mentioned healthcare if doctors were worth a damn in 1787. Technically it does in the Declaration of Independence. We are are entitled to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Even that kid with no insurance and who's parent's had AIDS and gave it to him. He's entitled to Life and that requires us as a society to lay out some cash.
I'll be the first to say that there are times and places where money or property are worth my life, but the measly 40% that the gov skims from our national wealth is not.
Let's imagine I gave you $50K and you put $30k in a vault and walked out with $20k in your pocket. You have your son with you and you get mugged. You know that you can give the $20k to your son and he will get away with it, but the muggers will kill you, or you can give the $20k to the muggers and walk away. What do you do?
I work for a city and every PC is ordered with a writable dvd drive, not to mention unwatched USB ports. I am not aware of any facilites to stop data extraction.
troubling to me since I am coming from a medical environment, but the least of my worries right now...
I once had to do an egg drop at a stupid temp job (team building crap). Their rules were very specific, but did not forbid blowing the egg out. Two quick pinholes, one empty egg shell, a quick layer of scotch tape and our "egg" could handle almost any distance drop. The damn thing was so light it didn't have enough mass to crack the shell.
HP has the best remote systems management for their servers and I believe ILO is included on all their servers, some features need a license to activate. I always recommend HP servers, IBM would be my second choice with Dell or whitebox a third.
30 second skip is why this will never happen, they need some mechanism to force or try to force you to watch the commercials. If they could send a guy to your house to hold your chin and force you to stare at the TV, they would.
I also find it helps to vary the way you sit. My home computer is set up different then my desk at work. I also mouse with 2 mice, one for left hand and one for right (I don't use them simultaneously, i switch off). The mouse irritates me way more then typing. I am a fan of the ergonomic keyboards and trackballs.
The only reason I started using SUSE was because they were the only distribution where my wireless worked easily. The network manager works 99% of the time so you can manage the network settings from your desktop. However, yast lets you set up your network that 1% of the time you have problems. I have also found OpenSUSE to have much better support for multiple monitors, or plugging external monitors or projectors into laptops. Much better then ubuntu, however it doesn't seem to utilize the s-video out on my laptops correctly.
I have an old tablet style toshiba with a swiveling hinge. It's gotta be 5 years old and came to me second hand. I run opensuse but the hinge still works fine. I rotate it if the kids are watching a movie so they don't mess with the keyboard (young kids).
and if someone doesn't pay the .05% we should make them pay a fine...

A 3% raise at a 20k salary is $600.
A 3% raise at 60k salary is $1800.
Assume I pay 40% tax at the 60k salary and no tax at the 20k salary.
Which raise would you prefer?
Hint...
one person is taking home $20,600 and one person is taking home $37,080 after taxes.
So, the wealthy are a constitutionally protected minority?
There is no right to privacy mentioned in the constitution.

This used to be clarkconnect, now it is clear os.
You just think your life is harder. Either you haven't asked your Dad, or he is doing the classic, "back in my day" to you.

I download alot, run a personal server w/ NX and access it often. I don't watch much video.
I have never gone over 20 or 30 GB a month according to my comcast meter.
How much exercise do you get? Try adding some resistance training. I like these wrist curls. You can also use a dumbbell.

I would love to use an ISP who is not paying the ESPN/Disney stooges.
You mis-pelled pfsense.
Seriously, pix is obsolete garbage, the new one is ASA, but why buy that when you can put your money toward supporting pfsense, or use it for free.
wah..wahhhhh
Poor me did nothing wrong, but I'm losing my job because the big bad government is "killing" the company I work for.
It will never happen, it's a straw man argument, pie in the sky.

No problems that you see...
How do you know there is not a trojan or a virus lurking on your machine? Do you perform occasional scans?
My Dunlap Syndrome is in remission.
buy some shoe goo.
