Resume Tips For Jobs

General rule of thumb for resumes if to not put anything in that identifies your religion, sex, race, I've even heard age (of course this may be subjective). Some people will just pitch it so they don't have to worry about lawsuits from any federally protected catagory.
I try to customize every resume I submit. If I submit a resume to company XYZ then my objective reads, "To work at company XYZ...(doing whatever w/ whatever job description I am applying for)"
I'm seriously considering looking for a job in a city about 5 hours away from the one I currently live in. Any advice? People seem to ignore my resume since I live so far away. I have taken to using a relative's address who lives in this city. Any other suggestions to keep the resume out of the old round file, or network in an unfamiliar city?
Hell yeah it's scary. Drug companies don't know shit about the drugs their dispensing.
Those zoloft commercials really get me
Although the way Zoloft works for depression, panic disorder, OCD, and PTSD is not completely understood, what is understood is that Zoloft is a medicine that helps correct the chemical imbalance of serotonin in the brain.
translation "We don't know what the fuck this drug really does, but buy it so we can make lots of money. Also try to get the government to pay for it, especially for old people. Everybody over 50 is entitled to all the money you will ever make, you aren't worth shit!! oops a little off topic there...
anyway, they don't know what drugs do, they just know that for some people they sometimes fix this, but they also cause hair loss, constipation, nausea, sudden death, whatever "side affect" your favorite drug maker downplays.
I'd go for it, what will you miss out on if you buckle down for another semester? Compare that to what a hassle it will be to finish it later if you decide a double major is worth it.
Check out audible.com you can buy a subscription that lets you download a book on MP3 every month and have a subscription to NPR news or the wall street journel on MP3 for about $15(us). You can also buy subscriptions or books individually, I've been thinking about subscribing.
Until portable readers are a lot better (say the size and weight of a paperback, with the text resolution of print, a page flipping mechanism as fast as a real book, and capable of holding at least a 12-hour charge)...
I've been reading e-books on my palm IIIc and I have to say it is much more enjoyable then I thought it would be. It meets all the criteria you have set above and then some. Makes reading in the dark a breeze! Plus it's alot easier to pack an extra book incase I don't get into the one I started or I'm close to finishing one.
Howard Chui runs an excellent site with cell phone reviews. His forums have alot of information about differnet providers. I highly recommend this site.
Letstalk blows! I tried to use them, and had several problems. 1st they claimed that Voicestream covered my area, which it does not. Maybe that's not their fault since Voicestream claimed on their website to have coverage too. One thing to remember when dealing with VS is that they have terrible customer service. Plus don't ever put a deposit with them if your credit is bad. They won't send out refunds until your account has been closed and inactive for 60 days. And then it still takes another 60 days for them to send anything out. VS is fine if you don't have any problems, but if you call their Customer care you will get a different story every time you call. None of their agents are trained, sometimes it sounds like their just making stuff up. A good CS from VS is rare.
That's not necessarily true, I'm not positive about Wal-Mart, but I know Kmart has a couple kisks in each store where you can order things from bluelight.com in their case. I imagine Wal-mart has something similar in their stores. It's not the convenience of shopping from home, but it allows you to get things that each store might not stock.
That's not true, running does increase metabolism. It gives a definite short term boost to your metabolism. If you run in the morning you will burn more calories during the day then if you didn't. Weight lifting, on the other hand, gives you a constant increase in metabolism because muscle requires more calories to maintain.
Want to know another good way to lose weight. BE A MAN! Everything else being equal, men burn about 300 calories a day more then women, nobody's really sure why.
Yes, yes, amuse yourself with the antics of "The Rock". It's your right, don't bother to take any real interest in anything around you, I can suggest some more senseless programs for you to watch if you feel an urge to look at what your government and the corporations around you are doing. Just pop in that "Faces of Death" or "Worlds Greates Police Chases" video and relax.... relax... you are growing very sleepy...
Democracy is the worst kind of mob rule. It's a broken system. Here's the best test. Check your local listings for the next WWE (used to be WWF) match. Wait for the camera to pan the crowd, now think to yourself, "every single one of those people gets the exact same voice in our government as I do." Scary isn't it?
Now don't get me wrong, wrestling and Brittney Spears serve a very important purpose, they distract people from the important stuff. If I was in charge I would encourage things like that too while I slowly consolidated my power, BWAHAHAH!
I just don't like somebody doing it to me, yes I'm a hypocrite and an elitist. That's why I should be in charge.
When I lived in Indianapolis afew years ago, I found a Huntington Bank ATM that would actually dispense $1 bills, kinda cool, but seems pretty useless.
Actually, the phone company is screwing you. I was watching one of those new magazine shows on tv and they were iterviewing people who regulate the phone companies. There's a tax that's about 6.9% of all a phone companies consumer revenue that is used to provide connections for rural area's and schools, etc... Point #1, there is nothing in the bill that requires the phone companies to pass this on to the consumer, it's a tax on them, this isn't a great point, because it's (somewhat) understandable for them to recoup their costs. Point #2, if you check your bill, you'll probably notice that the phone company is actually charging around 9-10% for this tax? hmmmmmmmm, very strange
This is kinda' cool in theory, but it opens the doors to a whole host of problems. If we keep using established actors, even after they die, what about the up and coming? What's next, a new Frank Sinatra movie, or better yet, lets take old actors and digitize their youth. We could make old actresses regain their sex symbol status.
I don't know about you, but I don't want some dead guy taking my job.
I'm really happy with the service Google provides. Some of the stuff that pops up on those pay search engines is insulting to say the least. Google rocks and I hope they can get some loot rolling in to support them.
Laws never solved anything. Abolish congress.

Are Cliff Notes illegal yet??
Wouldn't this be a precedent?

In closing, don't do drug...Just say NO!

That's it I'm moving!!
The 2nd to last paragraph makes me lose hope of ever getting rid of spam.
businesses and bulk e-mail companies will pay to use it.
so this is really just a way for them to get in the loop and make some money off the spammers.
ROTTEN!

Kernal Panick!
The first time I mentioned this to my wife (she's not too technical). She thought that was the Linux Penguins name Colonel Panic.
Had to chuckle at that.

How many of you have cable or satellite TV? How many of those channels are commercial free?
e-mail me at pborowicz@cybernet-usa.com and we can make arrangements.
I got a USB cuecat from IBM, two actually, maybe we can work out a deal?
