This article tells of lab rats who've built a cell phone/PDA/GPS device that also lets you surf the web and, oh, yeah, sniff out any dirty bombs that might have gone off in your area.
"any communication device to receive... any communication service without the express consent or express authorization of the communication service provider"...
Do these hackers honestly think they're doing something good and patriotic by doing that crap?
It won't change anything, it just shows how immature they are. Why not do something useful like put their talent to work helping the world instead of pissing people off...
It's all about drivers and compatibility with those gadgets...
For example, the reason I'm running Windows now is because I can't get my darn Palm m515 to work in Linux, and I don't even know where to start looking for help with my Minidisc Player...
So it's all about compatibility with those gadgets in my book:)
I thought TransGaming's focus was on making games portable over different operating systems, yet with this announcement, they say nothing of this new portability layer functioning on Linux at all. They specify "PC"/Mac/PS2...now whether PC includes *nix is up to interpretation...
But as usual, all press releases are sketchy on details, made to sound good by making things generalized.
Twas the night before Christmas...
And up at the north pole, everybody's going crazy, everything's out of control.
The toy shop is on fire, the toys melting on the shelves, and you can Mrs. Clause screaming "I warned you never trust those elves."
Unless something drastic happens fast, say hello to the Ghost of Christmas Past.
Because Rudolph's puking boughs of holly, and Old Saint Nick aint all that jolly, 'cus the sleigh's in the shop cus it's broken down, but Christmas won't stop, 'cus Santa Clause is thumbing to town:)
I mean, come on. I don't think the terrorists were watching cartoon network and got the idea to fly planes into various U.S. buildings. I think they're a little screwed up in the head, but it's definitely not cartoons. It's another one of those "Quake made my kid become a killing machine" stories...except this time, way out on a limb.
The installation and text-based maintanance of Debian has always kept some of my friends away from it. Progeny and other companies seem to be stepping up to the plate to make Debian a more user-friendly distro and I hope this one continues what Corel started.
Well, it's true there is little to do for lower level players. However, you can easily get to level 200 using the Canon character in less than a week. The game is in developement, but I'm playing now, so I can enjoy the new benefits of the next patch (being released on September 18th) as a high level player.
If any of you are looking for a non-3D MMORPG, you should check out http://www.redmoon-online.com:) 3D just isn't my thing for an MMORPG. Too many blind spots that people can attack me in. Redmoon is a 2D game with overhead graphics but it has 3D buildings and whatnot. It's got some really cool features such as armies, a Battle Dimension, 9 characters to play, and about 6 skills for each character. It's being developed constantly and updates to the game are free (as well as the game itself). You do however have to pay a subscription fee on a monthly, quarterly, or bi-annual basis.
No more legal threats from TI or anything of the sort. Legal troubles would be quite simplified on Sealand. I'm sure it will cost a pretty penny of course.
I fail to see how it is "not for sale" if you can buy it "here or here".

Man those lab rats are getting smart...

Now my computer is illegal to own too =/
We live in a world without compasses, we have a global positioning system. By map, I meant map type program thing.
Do these satellites actually detect small changes such as people and tanks?
Otherwise, why not just use a map and a laptop?
"definitely one of the most fun interviews I've ever done." ... He obviously doesn't get out much.
But I really hope when I die I'm not best known for what I did wrong =/
Is that the stuff I download off KaZaA? =p
Till some artist thinks its funny and puts a recording of fingernails on a chalkboard on their CD... and projects that sound inside your head.

Take parts out to make it worse.

I do all my web programming in PHP, so until it compiles in...I'm stuck with Apache 1.3.
Now what's CowboyNeal's IP...must r00t and run Apache 2.0 =p
Theres plenty of extremely great games for the TI line of calculators. All of which are free.
The TI calcs don't NEED commercial apps.
Keep yourself up to date on the games/apps @ TI-News.
Five Iron Frenzy is the only true Electric Boogaloo.
What would you rather have? One of the last remaining ska bands stealing the name or chrisd? =)
But not to the common criminal...
I can see it now, Robo Taxi pulls a gun on you when you forget to pay him =)

Gotta Love Relient K.
Excite@home is the parent company of the entire @Home network...therefore yes, AT&T @Home will be down.
I won't be able to read Slashdot tommorow!
