All digital devices should have a 2nd passcode that will wipe the device on the first successful attempt. That will probably cut down on passcode requests for fear of wiping the device.
But more importantly, what difference does it make? Who gets paid for every hour of work worked? So it means I work 70 hours in a week instead of 60. I'm still only getting paid for 40.
Um.. no. Just like you can't just re encode a movie, you can't do a sentence by sentence translation, as the original material is copied in a form.
I have been learning a foreign language over the last few years and the one thing I have concluded is that translation is an art form. One must convert the original language into a concept and then restate that concept in the target language in a natural way that makes sense to the target audience. The translation may look entirely different than the source material. And two people may translate the same material very differently. Transcription may be one thing but I would think translation would be protected.
IMHO the 4s was the best iphone and it has been going downhill ever since. They made the phone more difficult to hold and got rid of a perfectly good connector. I never had the old style connector wear out but I have thrown out more lightning cables then I can count. Now I need to plugin my headphones into it? I've always felt locked into apple because of the investment in apps and music, but now with this latest move I believe iphone won't be my next phone. Looking forward to Xiaomi.
"Ban on companies sending email outside of work hours"
What does that mean? That I as an employee am not allowed to send email to another employee outside of that employee's defined work hours? Or that the company will queue mail until that employee comes to the office? Or that employees are not required to check their email. If the latter that will be about as good as saying "don't come to the office when you are sick". But then guilt employees for staying home causing them to come to the office sick anyway.
Again, why are we still TODAY writing critical core libraries in what is probably the lease secure language next to raw assembly? Go, Java, even Python would be much better alternatives.
Right, cuz Oracle isn't pumping out a security fix for java every other week.
This pig is only mostly dead.
Bring a GPS?
The EU is to big to have on timezone, if you mean that with "uniform".
Earth Standard Time. One time zone.
Why? Air Force; Space Force. It's what the Russians called their agency (well, in Russian).
I've always been partial to Star Force. Is it too late?
It doesn't get more Christmas than that
People still send memos? I don't think I've sent a memo since 1995.

But seriously, who came up with that name? Can't we instead call it the Star Force?
I'll be in the basement hiding from the cars
I'm thinking the solution is to dust of the U.S. Robotics 56K Fax modem and on-line retailers can accept fax orders.
FPGA == Field Programmable Gate Array, not "floating point gate array"
You can't say that FPGA != "floating point gate array" due to limited precision.

I do miss the Nextel. On my desk I had a line of batteries and chargers. Just pop in a new one. Instant recharge.
... welcome our regulation free media overlords.

This takes me back to the time of my Mac 512 and the book Basic Computer Games. This was a better time for computing.

I propose the installation of a giant aquarium bubbler at the bottom of the ocean.
