"So with multiple PCIE vid cards, any suggestions on how to split a full motion video stream in Linux?"

No, but with nVidia's new chipset (not yet release.. december/january) you can use DUAL (via SLI) AGP video cards. How about dual PCI-E 6800 Ultra's.. thats 4 DVI ports.. even if SLI specifically does not support using all four ports.. they have to make motherboards with DUAL PCI-X to support the SLI function.. and i'm sure that someone has some software (probably built into nvidia drivers) to use all four outputs. However this is extremely expensive.. but hey.. if you want video.. you can have all the video you want!!

If you want to know how hackers think, try speding some time on undernet. You get the feeling real quick :) This is not a flame.

Troll. Yahoo has an excellent page layout with an even better spam filter. That combined with fast page loads and a great uptime makes yahoo my webmail provider. Hotmail is the devil. Gmail aint free. Yahoo's 100 megs + 10meg email limits are a great free offer! I was quite happy to login today and see that I had extra space. I think your really missing the Yahoo! advantage.

  12. Re:only makes sense on Slackware Chooses X.org Server Over XFree86 · · Score: 2, Insightful

Thats exactly what linux avoids. You can have a completely custom distro, WITH OR WITHOUT A GUI. no distro can be 'XFree86' -ONLY- or xorg -ONLY- because its all the same stuff. you might not be able to run both at once, but you can sure as hell choose which one you want to use, and BOTH will work. You can also run a commercial X server, and still run gnome/kde without xorg OR XFree86. Linux offers choice.

I love linux. I use it 24/7 but i have to admit that I am continually frustrated with the support provided for sound. Although, I can say that the benefits still outweight the cons of running windows. I'll deal with shitty but improving sound support. BTW.. most cards WORK, the problem comes from trying to mix sound applications output.
