This is indeed the case. The "waste" water from the system is going to be fed into the drinking water supply, and will make its way back to the lake via the existing sewage system.
"According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 65.7 km^2 (25.4 mi^2). 63.1 km^2 (24.4 mi^2) of it is land and 2.6 km^2 (1.0 mi^2) of it is water. The total area is 3.94% water."
So, given a circular layout, that means a 9.1 km diameter (or roughly a three hour walk across). Bigger than I was led to believe, but still 10 times smaller than the city I live in.
Actually, what struck me about the sizes quoted, is that Boulder Colorado must be really small. I do a three km walk every day. I always pictured it as a big city, but you could walk from one end to the other in an hour, hour and a half. That's not a city, that's a town.
Back in the days of yore, my brother and his friends used to take pride in knowing a wide variety of tools and techniques for opening beer bottles. Then along came the twist off beer bottle cap, and my brother was heard to say: "Crap, now any idiot can open a beer.".
It happens to all of us, our hard won skills, honed to perfection over years of use, the knowledge and techniques that make us special and separate us from the common man, get packaged into a user friendly, idiot proof tool. It's called progress.
More than likely all you're doing is pulling yourself up/forward so that more of your weight is directly over the pedals. To gain any additional force, you have to somehow push the handlebars away from the pedals. Anyways, it is trivial. Think about how much you can leg press vs how much you can chest pull.
The maximum force a person in an upright position can apply to the pedals is his own weight. A recumbant person can generate far more force because he can push against the back of the seat.
Camera phones are not aimed at the "prosumer" market, any more than disposable cameras are. It is meant for quick and dirty picture taking. (ie, the "For Sale" sign, the fender bender, etc).
Cell phones don't work in basement apartments. Cell phones don't provide DSL. So, for me, folding all these functions onto a cell phone base is about as pointless as trying to sell a houseboat in the Sahara. A GPS enabled Palm, now that's a different story.
I'm not sure if you read the article you linked to, so here are a few quotes:
CANDU reacts natural, unenriched uranium... This means that they can be operated without expensive fuel enrichment facilities.
The pressure tube design means that the reactor can be refuelled continuously, without shutting down, as the fuel channels can be accessed individually.
CANDU are designed to be constructed without large pressure vessels. The large pressure vessels commonly used in light-water reactors are extremely expensive, and require heavy industry that is lacking in many countries.
The reactor has the least down-time of any known type.
Another advantage is that fuel use is the most efficient known.
CANDU can even be operated to "burn" nuclear waste to a less-reactive state.
So, CANDU reactors are efficient, cheap, and safe. Sounds like a CANDU attitude is a good thing.
When you focus on a distant object, you need a thinner lens. The focusing muscles in your eye pull on the lens and thin it out. When the muscles relax, the lens returns to its original shape, and you see close up. As you age, the lens does not return as well, or as quickly as when you were young. It is a function of lens pliability, not muscle weakness.

We have to keep our igloos from melting during the blistering summer heat somehow.
Somebody released a $1.3million library of GPS related code under the GPL. Now you can tell exactly where your server is.
Ok, here's the poop:

That looks like Scott Tracy, of International Rescue!

After a long hard day of flippin burgers, do I really want to come home and flip disks?

Step four would be "Packet sniff for incriminating/embarrasing activity"
Just curious, if this is the case is anything being done to fix the election system?
It's spelled "eh".
The BBC website always uses the singular, and they should know.
If you read Dark Knight Returns, Gotham's teenage punk gang were being supplied with military hardware.

I guess they already have them.

Lawyers typically get paid whether they lose or win. I'm guessing that the original plaintif would be paying their fee if they lost.

It is also legal in Ontario to turn left on a red.
Current space endurance record: 1.2 years. Time to reach nearest star: 306739.872 years. Travelling to the stars: Pointless.

Go rent the movie "Blackhawk Down", rethink your post, and try again.
I've never served in the military. Could you explain this "tooth to tail ratio"?
