When you go to a fertility clinic with your wife/partner.. and they pump her full of all sorts of drugs, she ovulates like a cat. there could be 1,3, 10 or 40 eggs in there (any number). At that point you have to CHOOSE how many you want to have. I want twins. Now, I don't think you can see the sex chromasomes, but its not much different. The thing that annoyed me about those "septuplets" was that this was how she had them, she CHOSE to keep all 7 embryos, at taxpayer/consumer expense (free college, free diapers, etc). Isn't that nice?

  5. Re:"English" on "English" Not Threatened By Webspeak · · Score: 1

Download and Upload have no distinction in english. Excepting that download comes "toward" the speaker... which is typically the client, but not always. I've had several conversations where we had to use different terms when designing interop software, since each team saw itself as "downloading". You can use push (upload) and pull (download) I think more easily... it presents context better. I suppose "sync" is more similar to the french term?

I couldn't... couldn't even figure out who to talk to, and no one that I called could do more than refer me to some large outlets that said "We don't do that." So not only are they going after people for electronic distribution of their works, they make it damn near impossible to actually license said works for electronic distribution. silly bastards. To put this in the perspective of the post, I honestly felt that they had "abandoned" the electronic medium, I hope the law says "fire away" to people who can't find licensing channels for works.
