  1. The real problem with RIM on The (Big) Problem With RIM · · Score: 2

Is management. And their inability to adapt to changing markets.

Its often a sign you got too large for your britches and/or became complacent, but either way in the IT market you adapt or die out to make room for someone who does.

I think what amazes me even more than getting Inferno running are the responses here and other place. How few people ( outside of the Plan 9 community ) actually seem to understand what is going on here. Even when you explain it to them.

I really thought 'geeks' were supposed to be smarter than this, but it they look more like regular users that are just wearing a pocket protector to look cool.

    Rather disappointing.

You mean the interface is not pretty. I have never "seen" an OS. And that interface is not set in stone, this is just a start to get the core OS running.

Also, pretty is relative. And you are right, java is the reason your android phone is slow as mud.

And yes, velcro is better for cable if you change it often. Zip ties if you rarely/never change it

There is if the owners of said private property require it. I know of some that also require parking passes to be displayed at ALL times while on property.

Now that said, if they actually have DMV record access and can tie a plate number to a person on their own, then we have a problem that needs to be addressed by the courts as that is NOT public data in the first place.

( im also assuming here you have an old console in the closet, just to be 100% legit )

One step further, since you own the physical cart ( and license to use it ) i don't see a problem with downloading it. It's only 'piracy' if you don't own a license.
