Hi, I'm Zordak, the purple trollisaur. I have little concept of reality. I think that anyone that questions current state of the US government is automagically an anti-US asshole. My life consists of "I love you, you love me, I'm bent over, get some butt lubbing."
Back to reality, while the Supreme Court can often be a glimmer of sanity in an otherwise greed driven world, they do sometimes bend to interests outside of the constitution and amendments. Bribes are illegal, but gifts and favors are not, especially when no one finds out. I am mearly pointing out that the chance excists that greed can be a desiding factor in this or any case. It did buy these laws in the first place.
Oh, yeah, even though the Supreme Court is the final say, the Legislative and Executive branches can just ignore it's rulings; and they have been known to so. But, what do I know, I never even read the constitution or anything about the supreme court.:P
BTW: I'm only 1/4 Troll. I post my worthless opinion whether you like it or not.
"More dollars than sence" ...and the scary part is these are the guys not only in charge of major corporations, but also have major influence in the US government. Forget "bless!" God save America!
Sorry, but this got under my skin and I had to say something.

The truth? We can search for it as long as it doesn't offend someone in power, kinda like, wait for it, CHINA. I admit China's policy seems more draconian; but keep in mind what we're seeing is from the outside in country where those in power trying to convince us that we aren't really having our rights liquidated out from under us. It makes our lives look good if the lives in another country are portrayed as relativly worse. Considering the majority of the internet is still in control of US & co, its really not that surpising that China stuck something up to keep its own powermongers happy.
I've got some of these if you want'em.:P Some are in 7300/200's though; a guy who bought a bunch of my 180's didn't want the IBMPC compatability cards, so I just tossed them into the others. [/shameless_advertisement]
Side note: the HD's in the 7300s seem to die often. I have only gotten 2 of about 8 where the 2GB HD's where not bad in them.
"Have these researchers for a moment stopped to consider that hours spent glued to some machine instead of interacting with ones peers is the cause of "anxieties", "anger", and "aggression"?"
You weren't one of the nerds they constantly picked on in school where you? Hell, the only reason I didn't kill myself after getting chewed out, spit on, and having my ass kicked on a daily basis is because I didn't want them to "win." I quickly learned not to fight back because I'd be the one that would get the punishment from the adults who where supposed protect me. Interacting with ones peers my ass![/endflame]
For all the people who keep implying that anyone who thinks US intelligence agencies are not seriously spying on its own law abiding citizens and that people who think otherwise are paraniod, tin-hat wearing idiots, I present the following excerpt:
"The files were started about a year before I was born, when my Dad (a chicken farmer at the time) went to a meeting in South Jersey about the price of eggs. (No, I'm not making this up.) Then my Mom made the mistake of attending a Civil Rights Congress meeting about voting rights. Then they had the gall to open a summer camp that advertised itself as "multi-cultural and interracial"."
"and we only probe the ports on your computer that you have made public."
Funny, I remember the Sysadmin at Virginia Tech pleading to us computer geeks not to portscan dns servers because their sysadmins tend to call him up and demand that you be stripped of all access privilages because of your (with sarcasm)"hacking" attempt.
Whats good for the goose aparently isn't good for the gander.
Am I the only one thinking of the possibility of buying 2 within signal distance of each other, one in a city where broadband is actually affordable, and one out in the boonies or small cities where at best people get 53K dialup and using it to set up a broadband ISP? $50,000 initial investment + permits is pretty steep still, though.
Hell, or get paid for offering an alternative route for congested hops.
I was surprised that so many people in the US besides me where shocked that this could happen at all. I lived in the US controlled part Berlin during the cold war and acts of "terrorism" where all to common. Public buildings and trains blowing up... oh wait, they never told you that did they? I'm furious that what happend on 9/11 is being used as an excuse to make citizens spread their butt cracks a little wider.
I think I'm alergic to legalese or something. Even looking at the dumbed down version is making me sick.
I'm honored. How do you like my new one?
This conjecture corelates with my experiences on the matter.

In the end, the question is not whether they can be swayed by public opinion, but by corporate dollars.
What do you think about big media corporations attempting to wrest control of the internet away from the rest of the world?

Yeah, that really fucked me up...
On the plus side, you can see Aeris again in FFT.
BTW: anyone know if an english version of the story it was based off of is available. (The name of it is in the FF7 end credits.)

...arg...forgot a "to"?
Well, that would be one of the reasons I think "BULLSHIT!" every time I hear about some new draconian piece of legislation passed to "protect us."

That is all.
I make sure every windows machine I own or work on has it.
It still has all the nice little trojans and spyware? I'll wait for the lite version.
Yes, but you can expect some greedy jackass exec use it to curb stomp any other companies that try using it now, especially little ones.

You obviously did not notice the pair of cameras every quarter-mile to mile on the local interstates.

They've done it with advertising TV's on TV comercials for years.
They do it to advertise stereo systems on the radio.
Evidently it actually works.

I consider Tyrany a bigger threat than terrorism.
CPU's don't have firmware; but, they do where out after a while because of thermal stress.
