Looking at online torrent sites you can easily estimates that doom3 has way over 100000 concurrent downloads going on... that's 0.1 to 0.2% of the net d/ling doom3 !!!
Here is a binary to ascii converter in 1 loop and 1 line of bash. No it's not rock solid but does work on a bunch of 8 bits like: # cat > test 01101000 01100101 01101100 01101100 01101111 00001010 ^D # bin.sh test hello # here is the code: ----------------8<-------------------- #!/ bin/bash for i in `cat $1 | tr -d '\n\ ' |sed 's/\(.\{8\}\)/\1/g'`; do
echo -ne "\0$(( $[2]#${i:0:2} ))$(( $[2]#${i:2:3} ))$(( $[2]#${i:5:3} ))" done ----------------8<-------------------- Now everyone post a result in another language!:-)
Actually i started reading until chapter 8 and i must say that it's kind of confusing for someone new to all these tools...(and i agree with some of the negative comments made by people on amazon about it..) It'll probably be worth a read later, but for now i need some practical examples.
Ok, i havent switched from OSS yet, didnt want to break everything all at once... in 2.2 everything worked fine, then in 2.4 i had to build 1370.o as a module and modprobe it with joystick=1...
now it's a new problem hehe but everything else works fine:-)
thanks, i'll try switching after the finals, meanwhile i need music;-)
we all get back to the good old tradition of the 90's where every page/service had a cypherpunk/cypherpunk login/pass pair? :-)

It would be cool to hack one of these to add support for DeCSS / VOB so you can play backup copies of your favorite movies while on the bus. :)

Anyone has praise (or not?) on this book?
Let the deniability and innocence until proven guilty start...
