Every time I read Emma Watson, I think of Emma Thompson, who plays prof Trelawney and she used to be married to Kenneth Brannagh, who played Guilderoy Lockhart.
A music synthesizer is a device that can make sounds based on various inputs. Turn a knob, the sound changes. Program a beat. apply various effects on the sounds. One track, multi tracks, etc.
This is the same, applied to light, or image. If you remember Cthugha, that's something close to it. You can let the music do the controlling, but you can also input light effects and beats with all 4 controllers. That's what the "Interactive screensaver" feature was, in this week's leak of specs.
This thing is a powerhouse of a computer. If they can sell them cheap enough as a console why not sell them as clusterable workstations?
I think we've had that conversation last iteration, and will have it again and again each time MS releases a console.
They sell at a loss because the profit is in the games market.
Hack their box to run Linux, and even though the box you just hacked is not profitable anymore, it still counts in the number of "active consoles", and when they show these numbers to the game publishers, they go "ooooh!" and pay them to release games on their platform.
It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out, becuase due to the fact that Live Silver is free, they will be able to actively monitor more consoles.
Right now, they probably have a very rough estimate on the number of boxes that have been modded. If they allow everyone to connect for free, then that "dark zone" of unconnected boxes will be smaller.
"At this point, my guess is that Microsoft will have a team of programmers working on backwards-compatibility...for a price.
MS has tried to make fully-functional backwards-compatibility with Xbox, but haven't been 'entirely successful.' They're probably 90% of the way there, but as with everything, it's the last 10% that's the hardest and most time-consuming. The cost-effectiveness of making it happen at launch just wasn't there.
After the system ships, probably a lot of the programming team will spend time ironing out the last 10%, and they'll probably offer it as a semi-low-cost download for the 360. Would you pay 20 bucks to play all your old games on the new system? For those who already own an Xbox, maybe not. But those whose first MS console is the 360 might want to play Halo 1."
live specs are at the bottom. Sorry for the KH post. It seems I need more characters per line.

He's not really astroturfing, he's just trolling. He seems to have two review templates, all with the same comments.
One for movies "The acting by all of these actors is very good. The thrills is really good and the action is incredible! The movie is filmed very good and the special effects are great. The music is good." and one for games..
"Game Play: The game play is very good. There is really basic controls here and is easy to perform. Novice gamers should have a good time here!
Graphics: The graphics are wonderful especially for the %platform name%. The backgrounds are really beautiful! Difficulty: The game is easy but as it goes on you find out that it will become more difficult!"
"Worm or serpent with its tail in its mouth, symbolizing completion, perfection and totality, the endless round of existence."
. .
Just like being your own father, or mother, or both. (because Lister sleept with his female counterpart from a parallel universe, and being in that reverse universe, he was the one getting pregnant and had the baby, came back in time, put in in a box labeled "ouroboros" which he left under a pool table in the Aigbuth Arms pub. Perfection.)
Cookie monster would turn in his grave if he knew we now have White Oreo cookies.
Now, with no trans fat.
Is this fad happening only in Canada or is the US affected as well?
Oh. and topic.. Sony. selling virtual property. The IRS and SEC will need to monitor our virtual transactions now (US) , the Queen will probably tax them (UK), and Canada will impose a levee on MMORPG monthly access costs.
Tim Rogers? Is that you?
That made no sense.. can you repeat the affirmation and make a point for the common people, m'lord?
Thank you thank you thank you thank you!
(can't mod, posted in this discussion)
Thank you again for spotting that out. It will take a bit of getting used to this new position, but my wrists are happy.
now I just need to solve my right should button problem permanently... Keeps sticking, I think the rod is bent.
My right shoulder button keeps jamming.
I know how to fix it temporarily but it keeps jamming after a while.
I think the metal rod in there is bent.
Anyone got a rod to sell?
I think we have a month or two where Notepad received the most nominations as the employee of the month.
Good times.
There's one little problem. License costs.
Remedy works great when you can make the modifications to the forms yourself.

Would that be a fatal exception?

Just your average script troll.
I've realised last week that Jack Bauer in 24 also says Newk'yoular.
Maybe it's just us who are lagging behind?
Especially on the 05-05-05 at 5:55...
5 was my lucky number.
If a 30+ hour game can be finished in less than 30 minutes, which category does it go in?
you can download the movie to see for yourself.
No hacked character, no "bad" exploit, but I would say that getting to 9000 intel is a bit abusive.
"Worm or serpent with its tail in its mouth, symbolizing completion, perfection and totality, the endless round of existence."

Bash is good for quotes.
This hacker's adventure is around 200 lines long.
He kept trying and trying, blaming a corporate frie wall and stuff.
[bitchchecker] because your gay fire wall directed my turn off signal back to me
It is funny.
It is, but not for the main quest.
and it is VS multiplayer, not COOP.
For VS multiplayer, it's best to go with silly mini games like Wario Ware and Mario Party.
Best coop games I played with my wife?
Bubble Bobble and Bomberman.
And a definite improvement to Pikmin would be multiplayer.
Seriously.. they're doing the old coke/new coke dance.
Pull the black oreo cookies, sell some white ones. Change the recipe of the original oreo, and put them back on. "Oreo Classic"
The new recipe will have no trans fat, just like classic coke had less cane sugar and more corn syrup.
Cookie monster would turn in his grave if he knew we now have White Oreo cookies.
Now, with no trans fat.

Task manager: Shift, Control, Escape.
Taskbar should be one row.
System tray icons should be "Always Hide" by default, not "hide when inactive" for new ones.
And now that I have a laptop for work, I use two independant taskbars. (ultramon does it, there are probably other vendors)
*SWOOSH*
(sound of humour flying over your head).
It was informative. Taco linked us to all pages he could find that were modified for april first, or had funnies for the april fool.
So it was an incoherent informative post.
"I am Error"
That one was my favorite.
