Reminds me of my great joy with shopping recently where it freezes and says "Help is on the way" and I look around, seeing 5 other people looking around for the attendant to come over, swipe their card, and type their number in so that the transaction can continue. Ends up taking me 10 minutes to check out because it takes 9 for the customer service person to walk over and not even look at the machine (it was bitching that I didn't put the meat in the bag / on the scale, something it didn't complain about until the second the meat was in the bag on the scale). This is also made better when the reason you are waiting is that the person is nowhere near their station, or is just talking to a fellow coworker and ignoring the line.

Also reminds me of working retail. We got new card readers that had little covers that hid the buttons. We'd have ladies come in to use their debit card go: "WHY WOULD YOU PUT THIS ON HERE IN THE WAY ITS LIKE YOU DON'T WANT ME TO SEE THE NUMBERS WHEN I TYPE THEM IN." Never mind the fact that they were also standing almost on top of the keypad when they did this.... move back 1 foot and GASP, numbers! That quote was about A Wrinkle in Time? I've barely paid attention to the crazed baby fight over Ms Marvel as all this stuff has been making my roll my eyes painfully hard for a while. I thought someone said she said that about Ms Marvel. And my thoughts on that were: "Did she write the movie? Because unless the director says that as well I don't think that the goal of the movie should be considered "ME HATE MEN"

Hell a ton of people tried to say "NO WATCH BLACK PANTHER WHITE MAN" yet the movie ended with T'Challa saying we should all treat each other as the same tribe. Some people tried to say "WONDER WOMAN FOR GIRL POWER DIE BOYS" yet no one left the movie calling it toxic feminism or whatever. This crap.

Want to pay part in cash and the rest on debit? No problem. 10 gift cards, $50 in cash, rest on credit? Sure whatever, wait while I scan all this crap in.

Then 5 years later I hear places saying "We can't take multiple payments, our system isn't able to do that. The system we had at BBB when I first worked there must been 10-15 years old in 2007! 25. I did ctrl f to see if anyone else mentioned this. I think at this point it could be done. Back when the PSP Go came out people relied a lot more on brick and mortar stores. Those stores did not like being taken out of the loop and did as little to support or get the PSP Go out. At this point B&Ms seem to have realized they can't ignore and fight digital.... so they've at least embraced selling cards and codes.

I think at this point it has a lot better chance of working.... Though it might also be a little late in the console's life cycle. Rumors are already going on about the PS5. I imagine MS will announce an Xbox 540/TWO soon as well.

One additional thought is that a lot of games on PS4 and Xbone sold physically often end up drastically going down in price fairly fast. It might be preferable to some people to keep the physical option open. But I still think an all digital console still has more chance now than the PSP Go (Also the PSP never did amazing outside of people loving to pirate on it I felt like)
